Today, thanks to a lot of help from Ojcar, I uploaded the Heinkel He.51 for the Spanish Civil War. The Heinkel was a one man, biplane fighter introduced in 1935 and used by the Nationalists throughout the war. There are a lot of pieces to install, but in the end you'll have a new 7.9 mm machine gun, a new German 10 lb bomb and a drop tank. The download includes a camo skin, decals, a fully functional cockpit, and my skinning templates. Ojcar found the 7.9mm machine gun in his SF install, but doesn't know who made it. I decided to use it anyway. If anyone knows who made the machine gun for SF, please let me know and I will give credit. Ojcar also taught me how to add controls to First Eagles so you can make the drop tank drop with a keystroke. He also included other features, like flaps, landing gear, wheel brakes, etc. so we can use some of the Strike Fighter planes in FE. I have included instructions in the download.

This is the Blackburn Buccaneer for the Royal Australian Navy. This package consists of complete aircraft. Historical Background The military buildup in China and Indonesia in the early 1960s led the RAN to renew the airwing of its 2 Audacious class aircraft carriers, HMAS Sydney and HMAS Melbourne. At the beginning of the decade, these British aircraft carriers fielded an airwing of F3D Skyknight all weather fighters, FJ-3 Fury day fighters, and Westland Wyvern attack aircraft. All were considered incapable of coping with the fighters and air defences projected to be introduced by Indonesia and China in the ensuing years. To respond to this situation, the RAN formulated requirements for an all-weather supersonic fighter, and a carrier-capable strike aircraft which could deploy a "special munition" after penetrating enemy defences. For this latter requirement, only two aircraft were viable, the Grumman A2F, and the Blackburn NA39. The Navy had concerns about the A2F's complex DIANE system, but overall favoured the US offering. The government, on the other hand, saw the Buccaneer requiring less of Australia's dollar reserves, and an order for a British aircraft could provide the British government a greater incentive to engage in nuclear cooperation with Australia. Since the naval fighter requirement was likely to be fulfilled by the McDonnell F-4 Phantom, using a British strike aircraft would keep the two big allies in balance. Therefore, the Government ordered 38 Buccaneer S.22s. The S.22 was basically the same as a British Buccaneer S.2. The RAN's first Buccaneers were hoisted into HMAS Melbourne for delivery as deck cargo in 1965. Deliveries were completed in 1966. By the end of 1967, HMAS Melbourne was ready to sail with 854 Squadron fully equipped with Buccaneers. The RAN's Buccaneers did not participate in the Vietnam War, though some of their pilots and observers did fly 2 Squadron's Buccaneers on exchange to the RAAF. In 1970, the government authorised a "mid-life update" for the Buccaneer. This update was carried out by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, and included upgrades to the Buccaneer's weapons, and defensive systems. In particular, it gained the ability to use guided weapons, and the new Pave Spike pod. Deliveries of upgraded Buccaneers, designated Buccaneer S.22D began in 1972. The Liberal/Country Coalition government intended to use them in Vietnam, as a "political replacement" for the Task Force in Phuoc Tuy province, which was withdrawing. The Labor Government elected at the end of 1972 cancelled this deployment. The Buccaneers spent the rest of the 1970s and 1980s on deployments, mainly in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. In 1990, the Government decided to retire the carriers, and replace them with two Invincible class carriers. HMAS Melbourne was already in inactive reserve. Some of 854 Squadron's Buccaneers were turned over to the RAAF as attrition replacements and parts hulks. It was the beginning of the end of the Buccaneer - at least it was until the invasion of Kuwait. HMAS Sydney, with 857 Squadron's Buccaneers, was dispatched to the Gulf. Some of 854 Squadron's Buccaneers, formerly attached to HMAS Melbourne, were sent to Bahrain to support the Buccaneers of 2 Squadron, RAAF. The HMAS Sydney's Buccaneers operated beside the US Navy's A-6 Intruders against targets in Iraq and Kuwait. After a successful tour of duty in the Gulf, the RAN's Buccaneers returned home. HMAS Melbourne was fully decommissioned in 1992, and HMAS Sydney in 1993. The RAN continued to fly a small number of Buccaneers out of HMAS Albatross in Nowra, New South Wales for fleet support. The RAN's final operational Buccaneer flight took place in 1995. After that, 2 Buccaneers were retained in airworthy for the RAN Historical Flight, a number were turned over the RAAF, and the remainder were offered for private sale, or to Museums - including one at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Nowra. Package 2 full aircraft, plus bomb racks. The S.22D uses the S.2B 1989 3D model for its Pave Spike station. The S.22D is edited to allow the use of US weapons. Contents This includes the following: Buccaneer S.22 Extra dark sea grey and white Extra dark sea grey (British white ensign) Extra dark sea grey (Australian white ensign) Gull grey and white Buccaneer S.22D Extra dark sea grey (white decals) Extra dark sea grey (black decals) Dark sea grey Gull grey and white RAN Camouflage Squadrons 854 Squadron, RAN (HMAS Melbourne) 857 Squadron, RAN (HMAS Sydney) Requirements - Ravenclaw007's Buccaneer FAA for SF2: https://combatace.com/files/file/12307-buccaneer-faa-for-sf2/ Installation (If not done already), download and install Ravenclaw007's Buccaneer FAA for SF2 Add the contents of "To Mod Folder" to your mod folder. In response to dsawan's thread (https://combatace.com/forums/topic/93782-moon-scenery/), I decided to create a realistic Moon scenery. I will use this thread to remind myself that I have one in the making, LOL. Jokes aside, I have encountered various limitations of the game engine in regards to the environmentsystem.ini file, but hopefully I will solve everything. I wish guys like @Stary were still around, their knowledge would be of help. Gravity and Inclination Angle are that of the Moon. Earth phases have been created as well. The terrain features a high quality 250m heightmap of an area between Mare Crisium and Mare Smythii. Right now, I am using some repainted objects as stand-in Space AAA guns and SAMs. I also modified two fictional aircraft available here (KF-2 and KF-1) to be used for this scenario. The scenario pits a joint alliance (United States Space Force, Russian Space Forces and People's Liberation Army Strategic Support Forces) against a fictional Settlement Defense Front, in the years 2038-2048. Those interested are invited to contribute with fictional yet "realistic" objects of a future Moon settlement, as well as new aircraft designs (IIRC X-Plane had some study aircraft designs for flight on Mars).

The Heinkel He.51 was introduced in 1935. It was a German, one man biplane with a V-12, 750 hp engine. It was developed as a fighter and carried two machine guns mounted in the fuselage. The He.51 began serving in the Spanish Civil War in 1936, used by the Nationalists, and was used by both Spanish and German (Legion Condor) squadrons. The He.51 was a superior plane at first, but was soon outclassed by newer Soviet planes. It was then used as a ground attack plane and served in that role until the end of the war. My Heinkel He.51 includes a basic camo skin, decals, a fully functional cockpit, fuel tank, and a 10kg bomb. Instructions for installing the fuel tank and bomb are included in a separate file. I have included my skinning templates with the download. Credits Thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the Heinkel He.51, and for providing resources and advice, especially for the weapons. Ojcar has found the data for a more accurate machine gun, we don't know where it came from, but I am including the data for the 7.9mm_MG17 machine gun for your use. Instructions for installing the gun are included in a separate file. Ojcar has added a gunsight to the He.51. He made a weapon station and loadout to add the gunsight which came with Emld's Nieuport 24 Lewis. I am including the gunsight with this download. Instructions for installing it are included in a separate file. Ojcar has also taught me how to add controls to jettison the fuel tank (along with other features, like landing gear, flaps, and wheel brakes.) I am including instructions for adding controls to First Eagles in a separate file. Installation Instructions For FE1 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "HeinkelHe51" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. You will also need to install the bomb, machine gun, and fuel tank, instructions for installing them are included as a separate file. For FE2 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "HeinkelHe51" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "HeinkelHe51". Move the folder named "D" from your Aircraft/HeinkelHe51 folder into the Decals/HeinkelHe51 folder you just made. You will also need to install the bomb, machine gun, gunsight, and fuel tank, instructions for installing them are included as a separate file.

Questions and answers from TK: [Q&A] Q. What happens if the funding goal isn't met? A. Not everything will be lost even if we don't make the funding goal. We do plan on securing the amount we're short by through other means (loans) and still get the Windows 10 update done at a later time (probably early next year). If we have to go this route however, the update will have to be a paid update and not free to everyone so we can at least recover part of the cost. It'll be free to only those who contributed to this and those who purchased the SF2 Complete Edition. Please note that this campaign is set as "Keep it all", meaning we keep all the contributions even if the funding goal isn't meat. Q. Can we add <xyz> features and fix <abc> bugs? A. We'd love to be able to do everything everyone is asking for, but unfortunately, all these take a lot of time and money. If you're expecting our games to have all the features from other AAA-quality games, then you'll be disappointed. Those games costs 10+ (some over 100+) million budget, and there is simply no way we can even come close to that with $100-500K budget we usually spend on our games. If we do make more than the funding goal, we'll have the contributors vote and decide on which features we should spend that extra amount on. Q. Are you going to continue to support the game? A. We wish we could continue to support the game forever, but again, these things takes a lot of money, and we simply can not afford to keep supporting old games for years and decades. This crowd funding goal is enough to pay for just 2 months of operation. In order for us to continue to support the game year after year, we need the community to continue to buy our games (and not just play them) year after year. Q. Isn't it better to do Strike Fighters 3? A. We'd love to be able to do SF3, but we're not ready to commit that much time and money to a new PC game at this point (we still haven't paid off the development cost of SF2NA). A completely new game would take us at least 5 years and cost us at at least 2 million. Plus, everyone expect post-release support for 10-20 additional years, easily doubling the cost. We just don't think we'll be able to raise that amount needed based on numbers we have. We'd love to be proven wrong on this, if this fund raising goes way better than expected, we can re-consider this in the future. Thank you!

The average doesn't matter, it is the total. Clearly it is not going to hit the mark and I threw my money away. The active SF2 "crowd" is probably less than 2,000 people and only 37 have donated. That's a wrap. When I consider how much money I have spent going to movies that might have entertained me for 2 hours, I don't have a problem with giving TK some more money. I literally played SFP1/WoX/SF2 almost every day for about a decade. The F-4 Phantom is the airplane I love the most and to this day SF2 is still the best sim to enjoy the F-4 in its historical environment. The FSX/P3d F-4s I have from Milviz and Simworks Studios are amazing, but are almost useless in that environment. TacPack is cool, but it doesn't even come close to providing the experience you can get in SF2. At this point, DCS World is the only combat flight sim available that satisfies me. But even after the F-4E is available in DCS World (2 to 5 years away?), DCS World still won't have the century series or a full Korean War environment with flyable F2H-2s (and numerous other aircraft not likely to ever be modeled in DCS World). It is a shame that TK couldn't find a way to keep the SF2 series profitable and continue development.

Not sure how I feel about this. I'm fully engulfed in DCS. It has its problems BUT it's more complete for my needs than SF at this point in time. Make sure you all re read that last part. He would need to do some serious upgrading to Win 10 usability and yes DX12 would have to be a player. I'm going to have to ponder this for some time. In all honesty I enjoyed my break from simming and I learned that simming politics are the bane of this hobbies existence.

I did some tests and I found out that it is possible to play with unlimited graphic settings except for "Effects detail". ps. I've actually discovered that in the other topic linked in the first answer somebody had already told that. Since (as of today) searching from google "strike fighters black loading screen" gives this page as the first result I think that this comment has its own sense even though the problem had already been solved in the other topic. so... TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM PLAY WITH EFFECTS DETAIL "HIGH"

Oh yes, please do! The A-6E is among my favorite mud movers in SF2. Your work on the Tornado is amazing - I had no idea that a WO cockpit could even be modeled to that extent! I'm looking to produce some AAR's based on SF2 NF5 missions that work in conjunction with missions for the Global Mobilization expansion for ArmA 3 - 1983 cold war ground conflict around the vicinity of Weferlingen in the GDR. My idea is to have SEAD and CAS missions in SF2 NF5 affect the amount of Shilkas and T--55s that are on the battlefield in my ArmA3 GM missions. The Weferlingen area is covered in SF2 Euros with airbases in the vicinity, so it definitely seems doable. Considering I'll be focusing on the Tornado and F-4F Phantom II in SF2 missions, this mod will be very beneficial to my project. My biggest hangup so far is figuring out how to script missions with the ArmA3 Eden Editor, so that they allow for armor strength/numbers to be auto-adjusted based upon the the results of SF2 missions. Like SF2 though, there's lot of quality fan-made tools for Eden editing, so it's just a matter of continuing to throw myself at the learning curve. ;)

I like this sounds like it was hard work.I do notice that in game the drop tank and missiles are slightly too high and clip into the fuselage. Is this some sort of glitch that you could not work out or a glitch on my end? Also you use a different name for the plane file with me it is called MiG-23MF not MiG-23MF Flogger.I simply pasted your file into my list so perhaps by changing the name to MiG-23MF and overwriting it might make a difference.Nice work though.

2 months ago i bought a new ASUS ROG Strix GTX1070 O8G Gaming graphics card and everthing worked fine antil 3weeks ago , on that evening i started my game Tank Crew by pressing the start button i got a very loud fan noice from my computer , i instantly stoped the game and checked my graphics card temp , showing 47° , and the fan rpm , showing 0 althoug the 3 cooling fan´s from that graphics card was running at max rpm so i removed the graphics card from my computer and by doing so i notice that a fan blade was falling in my hand , i thought no problem , i have warranty an after a short call to the vendor , who agreed that this is a warranty case , did i send the card back to the vendor 2 weeks later i got the graphics card back , still defekt and the vendor is rejecting the warranty by claiming it was my own fault by overclocking the graphics card and overclocking the fan´s , but i didn't do either of this !!! i always used the card without overclocking it , i called the vendor and told him that this would be not acceptable and that the graphics card was always used within the manufacturer standards , the vendor is still rejecting any warranty claims and is not willing to give me the rejection in writing now my only help would be ASUS , so i thought , but after a short call all my hopes a shattered , ASUS say´s that this is a warranty claim and in this case the vendor has to send the graphics card to ASUS for repair or he is giving a written statement why he is declining this otherwise they are not able to help me after all this back and forth i dicidet to take maters in my own hand i checked for a replacment fan in the net and found one by Amazone for about 20 euros , i bought it and started to repair my graphics card by my self and after 10 minutes work i installed the graphics card back in to my computer , sinc now 2 days the card is running without any problem , i made a furmark test and played all my games to check if there is any problem but sofar everthing is fine so THANK YOU , Webinstore AG and ASUS , for not helping me , as for ASUS this is the last item i ever bought from you

That sounds awful. Sorry to hear that. Alternate is a webshop I can recommend for your next shopping. Never had any problem with returning an item. I once bought a SSD, that died after 2 days and I got another one without any porblems. That one died too after 3 days due to some sort of incompatibility and even for that one I got a replacement (which I used in another PC and it worked well then).
