SF2 Westland Whirlwind HAR Upgrade Pack 4/19/2021 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) **NOTE: this is for the British built versions -0NLY-!!** This is major upgrade of the Westland Whirlwind (piston powered) as released by Strahi. Please be advised, if you have the original download, you will unfortunately have to delete it from your mods folder(s). THIS version is highly modified, with many additional items. If left as "drag & drop" over the original, there will be conflicts that might be unresolvable. Thus, the need for complete removal of the original. This has been approved by Strahi, to whom I extend great thanks!! The following services/units are covered. The first listing is the name of the skin folder itself. The rest is the description you will see on the skin selection dropdown on the Loadout Screen: Royal Air Force: RAF1 - No.22 Sqdn, 55-62, overall yellow RAF2 - No.28 Sqdn, ?? date, Eurocamo* RAF3 - No.110 Sqdn, 1954, Kuala Lampur* JHU - Joint Helicopter Unit, HMS Ocean, Suez, 1956 Royal Navy: RN - 848 NAS, DGNB overall, early 50s RN2 - Ship's Flight, HMS Protector, 55-65, Antarctic Patrol RN3 - 848 NAS, HMS Bulwark, 1960s RN4 - 781 NAS, RNAS Yeovilton (Green Parrot) Suez - 848 NAS, HMS Albion, Suez 56 JRV: YU - Soko Whirlwind, Yugoslavian Air Force, 1961 *= be advised, these units MAY have had the later, turbine power marks. It's also possible some of those listed above, while still having serving piston-powered Whirlwinds, would have also recieved turbine power aircraft. The SF2 'date switch' is =NOT= used on any of the skins. I felt it would cause too many issues and confusions. Many painted on insignia and service markings remain as such. This is due to the minimal amount of meshes used to build the aircraft. All new serial number decals have been made for all included versions (up to 26 each). As is to be expected, while all are correct for the aircraft & services depicted, they are 'generic' in nature. When a unit's or service's serials HAVE been found, you'll see the star (*) in the number list dropdown. Decal randomization is TRUE. When possible, the RAF & RN squadron badges are used at the "patch" for viewing on the Loadout Screen On the aircraft selection drop down list, you'll see: Whirlwind HAR/HC (st) The (st) is for Strahi, and will diferentiate this Whirlwind for any others that may or may not exist. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein EDIT: added missing Decals folders!! Sorry people!!

I like to think the distribution of the Pfizer and Moderna Vaccine around the globe, as our great apology tour. Glad you're all vaccinated and hopefully soon we can return to some type of normal.

Hello everyone, I finally am able to finish working on this project. I owe big thanks to both Wrench and Menrva for the big helps. Because of them, I am able to solve the problems tweaking ordinances in SF2. Here are screenshots:

Excellent. The Pfizer Vaccine is said to have a more mild second dose. I was given Moderna Vaccine and my second shot is in a few days.

It seems we moved here so I registered to post my impressions thus far with this new edition of WOFF. I moved last Nov. and that was really the last time I flew so my memories are a bit hazzy but I do remember some things and can note some things just by flying about 5 missions thus far. First off the purchase experience was trouble free and pretty straight forward. Recieved the required emails for download almost immediately. The download clocked in at 9.6 Gig and took me but 14 minutes to complete. I'd rate this much better than any download I've done on steam or other services. The install I didn't clock but it took conciderably longer. There's a lot of files and if I had to guess I would say at least 20 minutes or more. I'll also note the latest patch was pretty small and only took a few minutes. As of this writing there's only 1 patch that fixes some runtime error and tweaks some color settings. For those considering a purchase write down your purchase number as you will be asked for it the first time you run the sim. I of course hadn't done this but luckily I still was able to alt-tab out and retrieve the email for the number. Next step for me was go into the workshop and set up my thrustmaster t.1000 and throttle. I generally like to remap some buttons to time compression and engine start/stop. I suck as a pilot so I tweak the settings to also use auto pilot and TAC options with lables. As usual I forgot to 'save' the remap when i exixted and had a joyful time trying to remember what keyboard commands turned this stuff on lol. Again remember to save when you remap. After that first flight where I fumbled with a fuzzy memory ---never did get auto pilot on but I managed to land without killing myself--I remapped again and this time "Saved". Yes it's like riding a bike. Not so much the flying but repeating the same dumb mistakes I made the first time I flew WOFF long ago. So I created 3 pilots. A french run, an ROF run and a Jaster run. Pretty much all started in 1915. The first one in January. ROF in august and the German on started in November. This is because I left season on 'any'. So that's how they generated. Some things I noticed right away was of course the new color photos, the 2 seater that placed the gunner right in front of me gave full view to the new turning heads. I noticed no stutters though I would say my FPS is a bit lower, hovering just above 60 fps most times. This isn't a top of the line system but a recent build with a good ASROCK MB with an I5 9800, 16GB RAM. A Nvidia 1660 ti using a 1 TB SD drive. I was generally in the 80s FPS wise on the older version. but then again I have everything set to 5 so there's that. As for odd things I've noticed. On my very 1st flight the text was so small it was unreadable with flight instructor and labels on. But it corrected itself and never returned on future missions. I'll note also the keyboard in workshop lists the pause key but that does nothing. ESC key is pause. Also in the old version you alway heard "contact' before you even appeared on the field on missions. That glitch has been fixed. I am so impressed I just paid about $200 for a Track IR 5 which I hope arrives within a week or so. As for the price of the sim? For me it's worth it because I loved WWI flight sims. I could care less about Multiplayer and I want immersion above all else. A dynamic campaign is king in my view. My first WWI sim was Knights in the Sky and of course followed by the Red Barons. WOFF to me is the ultimate for career and campaign. besides that I've spent as much for Cyberpunk 2077 which is a buggy mess and will probably never be the RPG that was promised. I'm still waiting after 9 years for anything resembling the game Chris Robert's promised with Star Citizen that was suppose to be finished in 2014, hundreds in any Paradox title with DLC purchases.....so as long as the game is your cup of tea and you can support a small dev in a very nitch market ....why not? anyway I just wanted to sign in and give some impressions. I really want to try to make it early in the war to war's end but i've yet decided what campaign/country/squadron to choose. Any suggestions as to your favorites?

In all honesty, it's even worse, this one is on the WHO. Here in Italy we're in the middle of a scandal, it seems there's corruption among some WHO officials. Our pandemic plan hadn't been updated since 2006, despite there had been other epidemics in later years (H1N1 and MERS to name a few). I remember when the WHO (Tedros Ghebreyesus) said it was all fine back in Autumn 2019, that China kept the epidemic under control. Not even two months later, we saw the truth ourselves. The Chinese do have their responsibilities for what happened, then I look at Brazil and I don't think the West can consider itself 100% clean, the situation was even worsened. Had this started in Brazil or in another country with lunatics in power, we'd find ourselves in this sh*t anyway.

Thank you very much! :) Since I do this as hobby, it doesn't feel like a work for me. Hence, I enjoy doing this. Plus, as I rename each weapon, I google and learned a lot about them too. hence, it is a win-win situation.

i like it but you are setting yourself up for a massive amount of work, given how many weapons mods there are out there still interested to see how far you carry this.
  32. 1 point
I have added these two to my do list. since I have the basic model. M577 M113 and maybe this one too (M106A3 Mortar Carrier) if the game can fire the mortar.

no idea , just delete the existing LAU-10C pods from your weapons folder and install the new ones that i posted above , that should solve your problem

Yes, I asked the tech who administered my shot, what superpowers I could expect when the nanites really got going. I wasn't sure it the power are preprogrammed, or if they're random. She couldn't answer, as she was telepathicly communicating to our Alien Overlords (tm) no, seriously, she thought it was one of the funniest requests she'd ever had! We spent time discussing which power we'd actually like. I had a great experience, everyone was kind, and polite, even standing in line for 40-odd minutes. It went pretty fast.

An-2 colts? The An-2 was adopted in bulk by both the Soviet Air Force and other Eastern Bloc military forces. It was first used in a military context during the Korean War of the early 1950s.[citation needed] The Vietnam People's Air Force (VPAF) was another prolific user of the AN-2; during the Vietnam War, the service occasionally used the type as an attack aircraft. During the 1960s, a single An-2 that was attempting to engage South Vietnamese navahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-2l units was shot down by a United States Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter, under the control of an Air Intercept Controller on the USS Long Beach.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-2

This is an old application that was written for .net 1.1, but I have used the built in .net compatibility tool to make it compatible with more recent versions which allows it to run on Window 7 64-bit and Windows 10 64-bit OS. I have also included the profile editor that was released before the host website shut down. Shoot can be buggy at times, but closing the application and restarting gets it working well again.
