    Sit rep: The color of the small river and the Themse in London area does not really fit. Thatswhy i'm reworking the small rivers to give them a dark, more natural looking color. Screenshot is showing a WIP old (light blue) and new color (dark) of small rivers. after repainting the small river tile looks more european than before. I decided to make the small river tile as JPG, instead TGA. A JPG tile has a size of around 300 kb, a TGA has 4.097 kb. The workload for the computer was to high, so that it could happen, that during dogfight with many planes the fps rate dropped significantly. With JPG it does not happen.

    This U2 pilot is gonna have a very bad day deep inside the Motherland! Altought those hig alt interceptions are lot harder than in lower levels... And the missiles usually malfunction. Seems like a good chute, the comissars are gonne ba veeeeery happy.

    Using VonS' method, I discovered my problem. It was caused by a file called 'InlineExhaustEffect' in my Effects Folder. When I removed it, I got my exhaust smoke back. Additionally, my trial-and-error has brought home to me that TK's stock effects are quite good in themselves. Thanks to everyone on the thread. It has been a great learning experience. Mick.

    @mue I actually noticed that when I was fiddling around. Then I was able to view the F-4 above. Also made this! This is just a camo repaint of the F-100G mod because I thought a plane like this would be more suited for merc work. Progress!!!!!!!!!!!!

    "Reper-N" is the radio-altimeter. Antennas are mounted in two bulges under the fuselage, at the rear where the leading edge of the ventral fin begins. I do not have the new edition of the Y.Gordon book, but when it really contains such basic errors.. uh oh

    I think you just need to launch the game...for all ini entry to be updated.. Quit program and LOD viewer will see all skin sets.

    I think i will release the terrain with the JPG files. The TGA files could come as goodies in a seperate folder, so that guys with good computers can install the files with water effect.

    Spent alot of time trying to create an efficient cockpit I can put away when done flying. Until I can build a true cockpit, this is what I got...

    Russ, as Yakarov alluded two - there's basically two scenarios. One in which the gauge reflection is painted on and remains static and constant no matter what type of lighting hits it. It absolutely looks cool though. Another technique is to use a very high specular setting (white) on the glass dials and that will definitely allow the lighting to more dynamically (and realistically) interact - but man it will take a long time and experimentation to get it just right.

    you need to map. Like anything else.. So if you want 'reflection' of pilot on canopy top left-right front..you have to map those positions on a bitmap. Reflection actually, in my opinion, is quite a fuzz in SF2. It is still image....so despite your position and position of the sun...reflection is always the same.... That is why I am not sure if some detailed reflection is good on gauges..etc...just my personal preference. despite the environment, you will have 'reflection' there Could be better to do just glass with some cool glossiness.

    The best thing to do therefore is to make a copy of your user directory/folders for FE2 - store them somewhere safe - and then start FE2 without the user directory in its expected location. This will "build up" a stock user folder. Then, some quick flying to check if exhaust effects are present for such aircraft as the SPAD and Fokk. Dr.1 that come stock in FE2 - this will rule out any possible corruption with effects/files in your custom user directory for FE2. Hopefully we will be able to narrow down where the problem is.     I made the condor long before the Su-21 has two engines you like this? need to finish mapping and getting in-game if there a demand for that I get on it faster maybe just a few short weeks

    FUJI AH-1S COBRA Ver 1.0 for SF2 July 2016. This is a third party add on of the AH-1S Cobra of JGSDF using models and cockpits created by me. The original flight model is standard as on many free to download helicopters. I have just modified it a bit. It is designed for and works only in the SF2 series. AH-1S(MC) was Step 3 upgrade program of Army Cobra. In this model Army Cobra featured the three -barell 20mm M197 automatic cannon mounted in XM97 universal turret. The AH-1S(MC) also featured an improved rocekt management system for 2.75 inch rockets, an improved sighting system, and a more powerful electrical generator to support all new systems. It was later upgraded with engine inlet deflectors to allow using WFAR rockets with Mk66 motor. Japanese Fuji Factory built 92 aircrafts under license for JGSDF. While USArmy and other users were using F designation for this model JGSDF remain using S symobl for Fuji Cobra. For take off: Around 75% of throttle vector - and then increase power to 70-85% (or more for quick lift) and pull controll stick little and snake will take off. Then reduce throttle vector as needed and reduce power to 69%. It should fly around 110kts now. 69% is about cruising speed. When on the ground you can see rotating blades for pitch and roll. Just additional and unnecesary thing (not visible so much when flying) but it is possible so it is there. Not working like i want but better then nothing. There are two different pylons on inboard stations one for rocketpods one for gunpods. Just to have a proper angle of fire with GP. It is not proper for real model but in my opinion best what can be done for SF engine. Rocket pods are ok with correct angle on inboard stations. NVG. Unfortunately there is no NVG in this game. I just added green "filter" to cockpit and you can activate it by default Animation 1 key. In external view ther will be little change in cockpit- unfortunately not moving with pilot/guner head. In copit view there is green glow and filter It is definitely not helping during night flight but this is beta version. Maybe one day real nvg will be possible here. If you dont like it disable it in cockpit.ini file. This feature apears only in National Guard 85 model and bonus, Skins: Generic skin for all 5 attack helicopter units plus 2 special anniversary paint/decal set. All serial numbers are proper for Japanese Fuji S model but am not sure if these numbers are 100% correct for specific unit. Weapons. Most of the weapon are same as in previous packs and are common to G/Q/S/P/E model. Including XM158 and M200/M260/M261 launchers and for smoe late models M260 and M261 with Mk66 motor rockets. TOWs BGM-71A/B/C/D There is additional optional Suppressed Exhaust loaded via weaponstation. Also here there is new M197 automatic cannon loaded via weaponstation. One more thing. I am using mostly standard weapon effects. Make sure to edit it your way if you decide to use this weapons. Pilots: I am using helopilots by OldDiego.
