5 pointsDarude: are you out of your mind??? how stupid are you asking for copyrighted software on an open forum?? We hid your original post, asking for someone to pirate the installers to you; and we just thought that it was a one time brain fart. I guess we were wrong. Same behavior I see on the FB group, too. I'm handing this off. You're done here

2 pointsMirage F1C_73 update is on its way for the release. We have slightly changed the French F1C mods versions split. This first variant is still the F1C as they were at the very beginning, when initially delivered to the French "Armée de l'Air". They had not yet the "BF" RWR and the Cyrano IV radar was the "early" version (scope and radar modes). Those aircraft were never retrofitted with BF, but the radar was, later, maybe progressively, upgraded to the new version (new scope, new modes). The mod is presented with the historical accurate numbers of the aircraft at their very first delivery in the squadrons: EC 2/30 30-Mx EC 3/30 30-Fx EC 1/5 5-Nx EC 2/5 5-Ox We have also added EC 1/12 12-Yx aircraft, but they were not from first delivery, they came from some of the squadrons above (themselves receiving the new F1C-200) and were reassigned to 1/12 quite early. The period covered by this mod is 1973 to 1981, so that we can have in the mod the initial external profile without BF, "early" squadrons decals, and "early" scope in the cockpit, all together. Another mod will present the same aircraft in the 1982 to 2003 period: "late" decals and new scope (F1C_82, to be released) The next 13 F1C that were delivered to "Armée de l'Air" had the BF RWR. After that they also had the refueling probe and those last ones were called F1C-200. The "F1C_RWR" mod (to be released) will present those aircraft (with BF but no AAR), for the full period (1975 to 2003). To be 100% accurate we should also split: early scope as initially delivered and later retrofit with upgraded Cyrano IV. We've not done it. Maybe a later introduction ! For now they are all in "upgraded" Cyrano version. The Mirage F1 team

1 pointHi Folks (however still reads this) Inspired by the wonderful Triplane and the Halberstadt CL.II I've recently restarted FE. By sheer coincidence and curiosity I downloaded the 'old' Flanders terrain from Edward (who still remembers...LOL). I've to say this terrain is good...good basis for further enhancements! Now my two questions: 1. Are you still playing from time to time FE? Still enjoying? 2. If the above mentioned terrain would get a complete rewamp would you use it? No channel (water), 1:1 size - e.g. just a portion of flanders, but with more details, etc. I would honestly do it, but it's a huge project....sooo thinking twice cheers and let me know your thoughts gt
-
1 pointNo! No! I had to wait 6 months to save up enough to get the package. Add to that, me buying SF2 Europe to determine if it would run on my system. I think you should do the same.
-
1 pointas it's exactly the same as the individually purchased units, there should be no issues with any mods

1 pointHi gterl 1) Still playing FE2. 2) Still use Edward's Flanders-terrain a lot. A revamped version would be very welcome. BTW: I hope you someday start over your work with Venice terrain. It would be great for Italian Front.
-
1 pointEdward originally did a great job on this terrain. It has stood up really well. I think it repeats tiles, but it's not very obvious, even at altitude. I think it's a very wise choice for an upgrade. Silberfeil did suggest a very ambitious project. All I would say, in the limitations of the time available to you of course, is could the textures about to be developed for Flanders be made transferable for Verdun and Cambrai?

1 pointI'm 42, and I can say I've seen some in my life; probably more than most of the ppl my age. But no doubt, this 2020 is gonna stay among the "highlights", probably forever (well, at least, hopefully not, it doesn't become the first event of some tough series, which we aren't going to know until some years). Although I don't always necessarily agree with the ideas of the relevant ppl of this site, I can say for sure, that you words are honest and true - unlike most of the billions of words wasted nowadays in this age of social medias and instant information (whether it's real information or most commonly, just debris). And let me tell you just this: I'm happy this site exists. Best wishes for the new year to you and your family, and to all the members of this community.

1 pointThis is just to get my hand familiar with creating an airplane after making the TB2, I found this tutorial and I decided to take it to gain some experience as making airplanes and jets its different than making ground objects, as there some techniques that I needed to understand and to find the best way to do it. So this is the result of working for 3 hours today. Not bad if I may say so.

1 pointStill fire up FE2 and I use Flanders most of the time!
-
1 pointLike everyone else who responded, I would also like a new Flanders terrain. I still play FE Gold on a regular basis. I have FE 2, but I rarely use it. I have been working on some airfield terrain objects, I will upload them when they're finished.

1 pointTrouble is....time. I'm able to improve something existing with the my given time. If we think more 'globally' then we discuss (as example and not conclusive list): Seasonal tiles, better vegetation per season, new TODs, elevation maps, facilities, such as ports, train stations, big cities, which in turn would need new/additional objects like buildings, POIs, etc....uffff. Bottom line: Basically everything is feasable but time is an issue (mind you ...still have a job and a family to feed ) OTOH just thinkered with one tile, one airfiled and a bit with the vegetation...for the moment I'm quite pleased

1 pointThought I'd post a few more pics. here - using a generic, early MS G stand-in for the Bleriot - but have now flown the FM through a full, brief mission, patrolling around the Suez Canal (March 1915) - brief comments below, with pics. Von S Flight mates can keep up with you - I have given the "cover me" command prior to the pic. below, and it works well Doing a wide turn back across the canal as we pass 1300 m alt. Flight mate responds well to signal to go and land (recommended is not to give this signal below about 600-700 m alt., since the FM is for early war aircraft and pushes FE2 AI to its limits - with enough alt., the AI has enough time to prepare nicely to land the Bleriot) Almost at 2000 m alt. (took the entire patrol to get to that alt. - but is exciting to get that high in a Bleriot), as I do a wide turn from the other direction, and head to land at our field After landing, I did another couple of experiments (have read reports of Bleriots stalling and crashing after takeoff, after engine failure, and if the pilot was attempting a turn at too sharp an angle) - so I did just that, took off, flew a bit, and then turned off the engine as I was in a slightly steep turn, and climb - results in a strange stall that resembles a leaf falling And, depending on the physics that is at work during the stall, you may suffer structural compromise

1 pointFE2 has been continuously on my HD and gets more play than any other game I own. I would be extremely interested in any revamp of the Flanders terrain. If it's half as good your other work it will be outstanding.

1 pointWelcome back to FE/FE2 gTerl, Yes I regularly fly FE2 (and WOFF Platinum Ed.) - that other WWI sim (ROF united) I hardly ever touch since these two are so much more immersive. FE2 is still great especially for the feeling of flight conveyed - it's remarkable how the data inis, with tweaking, still hold up, even though FE2 is getting on in years. Also the AI in FE2 is holding up really well. Currently I only fly the small enhancements provided on CombatAce for the stock Verdun and Cambrai terrains (different terrain patch colors, etc.) - and of course also your Italian terrains, and Stephen's eastern front and middle eastern terrains. For some reason I spend most of my time flying over Italy and in the middle eastern theater - I like the fact that FE2 is still the only WWI sim. that gives us some of these less well-known theaters, where we can fly some very obscure mounts. I fly all of your maps for Italy (the regular Italy map and also Caporetto) - so I would definitely download your revamp of Flanders too if you ever consider reworking it. Von S

1 pointFirst crack at new curved wing mesh and first draft of experimental texturing (weathering and beveled/drop shadow wing struts but "squares" not yet symmetrical, etc.). Still not sure if I like the technique so will keep messing around with it a bit more and welcome improvement suggestions.

1 pointMini ver. 9.96 FM "package" included here for download: Dec. 25, 2020 (revised Jan. 5) - Includes overhauled FMs of the MS Type G (60 hp) and MS Type H (70-80 hp) for the relevant theaters in which those were used. Also find included slightly updated paints/skins for the Types G and H (located inside the skins folder for the middle eastern theater). These overhauled FMs came about through extensive testing of the 25 and 45 hp "trainer" variants of the Type G that I included with one of the earlier FM packs (ver. 9.1). Have now "retired" those trainer types since they were largely test-beds for early war flight models. Accumulated tweaks have resulted in major overhauls of the Types G and H - and have also resulted in a completed FM for the Bleriot XI (based on the 60 hp MS Type G and reworked) - Bleriot FM not included with this package since that awaits completion of the Bleriot model. Rev. 2 of this package includes fixed rolling coefficients for left/right wheels on the MS types G and H, which gets rid of perpetual roll upon dead-stick landing, with full down elevator held. Happy holidays and happy flying, Von S EDIT: removed download package - now included in the big, ver. 10.0 FM/realism package.

1 pointFile Name: SF2 Su-24 Fencers File Submitter: eburger68 File Submitted: 23 July 2011 File Category: Su-24 SF2 Su-24 Fencers This mod package contains a collection of Su-24 Fencers, all converted and updated to SF2 standards. Included in the package are all the weapons, sounds, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft in this package. These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, or SF2I. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions. Those familiar with Lindr2's Su-24 Fencer Pack for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated package simply builds on his earlier efforts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ To install, simply drag the \Flight, \Objects, and \Sounds folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to). By default your Mod Folder should be located here: Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\ThirdWire\[Game]\ Windows Vista: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\ Windows 7: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\ ...where [username] is the account you log into within Windows and [Game] is the name of the particular game mod folder that you're moving the files to. If the aircraft are not showing up in your Single Mission Aircraft menu, then you didn't install all the bits correctly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aircraft & Nations Included ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The following aircraft are included in this package: Su-24 Fencer Su-24M Fencer-D Su-24M2 Fencer-D Su-24MK Fencer-D Su-24MP Fencer-F Su-24MR Fencer-E The following nations are represented: USSR Ukraine Iraq Libya Syria For more information on the differences between these various versions, see the documentation included in \_OriginalReadMes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Credits & Acknowledgements ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This package largely consists of work done by others and released previously in other packages. All I did was assemble the package, update the bits to SF2 standards, and make minor adjustments and tweaks here and there (discussed above). Veltro2K .......................................
