    2. SF2 KAW F2H-2 Banshee Tweeks Pak -for Razbam Banshees

SF2 KAW F2H-2 Banshee Tweeks Pak -for Razbam Banshees 7/6/2014

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

***PLEASE NOTE!!! You must have the original Razbam Payware Banshee set for all the
necessary items!!! If you can't purchase the item from the Razbam Store, do NOT
download this mod; it will do you NO good. This package =ONLY= includes those items
      modded by me.***

This package contains a few (partly) repainted skin maps for the 4 original skins.
They now carry decals for Modex and BuNums.
These are =ONLY= for the F2H-2, as used in the early 1950s, particually over Korea.
Included are new decals, decal inis, number lists, userlist, etc. The repainted skin maps are:

      Fuselage_t
      Main_t
      Wing2_t

You'll find all these items in their appropriate skin subfolders.

Also, a totaly NEW skin, for VF-172 "Blue Bolts" was created and included. This was
the first unit to take the Banshee into combat in Korea.

Skins remain in bmp format. Decal randomization is TRUE. All aircraft use a "pool" of
BuNum decals. The BuNum decals, when correct for this model, should be considered
'generic' in nature, as they represent ony the aircraft itself, not specific aircraft
in any particular unit. Both USMC units also use a "pool" of Modex numbers.
National insignia, and CVG code letters remain painted on, excepting for those on the
VF-172 skin. All markings on that one, excepting the national insignia, are decals.

A modified data, loadout, and main (F-2H2.ini) are included. A new avionics ini is
included, that activates the range-only gun radar (similiar to F-86E/F models).
Shadows have been turned OFF, due to 'tractor beam' issues. NEW damage tgas are
      supplied as well.
It may be advisable for you to back up ALL the original inis, just for safety's sake.

      When in game, you'll see

      F2H-2 Banshee (Raz)

on the aircraft selection drop down menu.

The aircraft is carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'.
However, as the wings do NOT fold, you will probably NOT see them parked on the boat.
The Standard Animation Keystroke ™ is used for the canopy (Shift/0).
No weapons, sounds, pilots, etc are included. These are Razbam copyright items, and
are included in his package. Those that have NOT updated their pilot to the SF2
folderized standard, should do so soonest. OTH, the weapons used are readily available
      in the KAW Weapons Pak.
Further work is required by those FM Gurus to bring it all the way home. I've done
      what I can with it.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So,
please read them BEFORE installing (but after unzipping, of course). Also, give the
      "Notes" section a read too.
Full credits are listed in the usual place, down with the "Notes".

      Good Hunting, and Happy Landings!

Loadouts and variant shred out by CrazyhorseB34 who put a lot of effort into researching this part of the package. Its highly recommended you use the loads he made or you will have problems.
If I forgot anyone let me know in a PM and I will correct it.
      To install:
      C:\Users\xxxxxxx\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 directory.

      Previous readme info below.
Fixed decals and skins. Recommend deleting all the other skins and using these to get rid of excess files.
Added missing drop tanks and added Ravenclaws weapons.
This package is beta and to be honest we are all sick of looking at it. So here is the deal. You find something wrong and the community agrees, send it to me and I will keep the package updated. We just need fresh eyes on it. There is a new pit by Brain32 that is amazing.

    6. Strike Fighters 2: Crisis in the Med

Strike Fighters 2: Crisis in the Med

This is an add-on package for the "Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic" Expansion Pack available at CombatAce. The "Strike Fighters 2: Crisis in the Med" (SF2MC) add-on includes two new campaigns, both set in the Mediterranean early to mid 80's and both providing fictionalized takes on real world events from that time period. Also included are sixteen new aircraft and a three-dozen new ground objects to fill out these new campaigns.

This add-on package is designed to be applied over the top of an existing installation of the SF2NA Expansion Pack. You can download the three main Expansion Pack files here:

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Summary of New Campaigns
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This add-on supplies two new campaigns for the SF2NA Expansion Pack, both set in the Mediterranean early to mid 80's. Both campaigns involve fictionalized takes on real world events:

      - Powder Keg: After Israeli armored units invade southern Lebanon in June 1982, driving PLO forces north to Beruit and routing Syrian tank regiments, the Soviet Union dispatches a large amphibious group anchored by two carriers to intervene. Standing in the way is one lone U.S. carrier group: the USS Eisenhower and her escorts. With little support from feckless NATO allies, the Eisenhower sails north to intercept the Soviet 5th Eskadra and Black Sea Fleet.

      - El Dorado Canyon: In June 1986 the Reagan Administration decides to take action against Libya following several years of naval and air skirmishes between the US Navy and the Libyan military as well as a string of terrorist attacks against civilian targets in the Middle East and Europe, all financed or supported by Libya. Codenamed "El Dorado Canyon," this operation will be a coordinated series of strikes by USAF and USN aircraft against Libyan military and industrial targets over the course of five days.

    7. MiG-23 BN cockpit

This is cockpit for MiG-23BN ground attack jet fighter of the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pack countries from the 1970s -I think usable in vast array of either MiG-23 or 27 dedicated ground attack planes (sans the TV display equipped ones...)

Build for and tested with Eburger68&Team's Flogger-H found in the great Floggers pack here:

      http://combatace.com/files/file/12149-sf2-mig-23-mig-27-floggers-part-3/

I have supplied modified data that makes the small pressure air tubes and antennae just slightly visible from the cockpit, other than that no other alterations to that file have been made.

      -------------------------------------------------------------
This mod was intended as an update to FastCargo's Super Vark Package (See link below), but it can be a standalone mod if you just want the USAF F-111s included in this pack. If you want to install both packs, FastCargo's pack must be installed first as that is the older pack.
You can get FastCargo's pack here...

What's included in this mod pack?

      Installation:
      -------------------------------------------------------------
I recommend that you back up your mod folder (or just the Effects, \Objects\Aircraft\EF-111A, and \Objects\Decals\EF-111A folders). I just make a copy the mod folder, try the mod, if I like it, I delete the backup. If I don't, I delete the new/updated mod folder and rename the old backup/copy back to the original names to reset to my original setup.
      * To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder (the uncompressed "Effects and Objects" folders only) to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder and Overwrite.
My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was..(yours may be different)...
      C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2 Europe\
Note: You should be able to install this mod into any SF2 series, it doesn't have to be StrikeFighter2 Europe.
      * To remove, simply delete the active "Effects and Objects" folders and replace with the back up copies you made prior to the install.
      -------------------------------------------------------------
      Add F111 SoundList
      -------------------------------------------------------------
Lastly, Read the "Add F111 SoundList.txt" readme file on updating your your "Flight\SoundList.ini" file with the custiom F-111 sound files included in this pack.
      -------------------------------------------------------------
      Thats it - Enjoy!

    10. F-16A Block 15 Air Defense Fighter (ADF)

Air National Guard F-16A Block 15 Air Defense Fighter (ADF)

The F-16 Air Defense Fighter (ADF) was a special variant of the Block 15 optimized for the United States Air National Guard's fighter interception mission.

I started this by breathing some new life into the old TMF F-16A ADF but then after posting some screen shots JAT kindly offered to do an updated model so here it is:

      Enjoy,

      History

In October 1986, the USAF announced that operational block 15 F-16A/B aircraft would be converted to air defense fighters for the Air National Guard, and would take over the fighter interception mission, providing the primary defense of North America against bombers and cruise missiles.

The first F-16A ADF conversion was completed in February 1989, while a contract was placed for kits to update and modify a total of 270 F-16A/B's at the Ogden Air Logistics Center in Utah. The Block 15 airframes used for the ADF program were all meant to be upgraded to block 15OCU standard, and both programs ran in conjunction. Aircraft entering the Ogden ALC for ADF upgrade also received the Block 15OCU avionics installation. The net result is that all ADF aircraft are Block 15OCU airframes. The last ADF left Ogden in 1992.

      Structure & Avionics

Modifications included Bendix King (now Allied Signal) AN/ARC-200HF/SSB radios with Have Quick II Secure Speech Module and the Teledyne/E Systems Mk.XII Advanced IFF system (APX-109). The APG-66 radar was modified (designated APG-66A) to provide look down/shoot-down capability, enhanced small target detection, and CW (Continuous Wave) illumination for AIM-7 guidance.

A 150,000 candlepower night identification spotlight was installed on the port side of the nose (below and in front of the cockpit) to aid in the identification of nighttime intruders. The aircraft were equipped to carry 600 (US) gallon (2,271 liter) external drop tanks, and to carry 6 BVR missiles such as the AIM-7 Sparrow or AIM-120 AMRAAM.

      Modifications & Upgrades

The ADF aircraft can be distinguished from "standard" F-16A/B's by several external identifying features, such as long and thin horizontal bulges on the base of the vertical tail (only A-models), plus a set of four blade antenna, nicknamed "bird-slicer", carried just forward of the canopy (as part of the IFF system).

The bulges are caused by the relocation of the Bendix-King AN/ARC-200 high frequency single-sideband radio to the leading edge of the fin. This in turn caused the flight control accumulators, which were installed one over the other, to be relocated to either side of the tail fin. The bulges were installed to provide sufficient room for these accumulators. Note that, since the Bravo-model ADF's do not have the Bendix HF radio, they also don't have the bulges.

      Production

All ADF F-16s are modified airframes. Existing Block 15 models where converted to the Block 15OCU upgrade and to ADF standard at once. In total, 271 airframes, consisting in 246 A-models and 25 B-models have been converted between 1989 and 1992. Minor differences exist between the A-model and B-model as described earlier.

Because of the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 and the opening of relationships between West and East, the program had lost its major reason of existence, being the protection of the North American continent against Russian bombers flying over the North Pole. Although the program was finished and all aircraft stayed into service with the Air National Guard detachments, they were the first to be mothballed at AMARC with the first major restructuring of the USAF. Beginning in 1994, these aircraft began to be replaced by newer F-16C variants. By 2005, only the North Dakota ANG was flying this variant, with these last examples retired by 2007.

A lot of these ADF F-16s are a very cheap and quite modern asset for allied countries. These aircraft have relatively low flying hours on their airframes. A lot of them are sold on the second-hand market. Jordan was the first to receive 12 A-models and 4-models under the Peace Falcon program in 1997. Most have since been received the Mid Life Upgrade (MLU). Thailand has acquired another batch of 15 A-models and 1 B-model under the Peace Naresuan IV program. Also the Italian Air Force received 26 A-models and 4 B-models under a 10-year lease agreement called Peace Caesar.

    11. Mirage F-1CZ

      Mirage F-1CZ
This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him.
South Africa began looking for a replacement for the Mirage III in 1971 and purchased a licence to manufacture the Mirage F1 and its engine, the intention being to produce up to 100 Mirage F1s. This license was however cancelled because of the 1977 arms embargo. The SAAF then bought 16 Mirage F1CZs and 32 Mirage F1AZs which were quickly delivered by Dassault before the embargo was implemented, with deliveries starting in 1975. Both the F1CZ and F1AZ variants of the SAAF saw action during operations in the Border War.
      Covered unit :
      N°3 Squadron
A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered.
Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this.
This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware.
      Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms.
      Enjoy
      The Mirage F-1 Team.

    12. Korea visual update and enhancements pack

Korea (V3) visual update and enhancements pack.

This is new tileset, treemod, objects, targets enhancement mod for Wrench's Korea(v3) terrain.

      Version 1.1 update:
Added missing graphics files for the village type objects, added three graphics to main folder (were in seasonal ones) just to be extra sure

      Why:
Kevin's Korea V3 terrain was released with temporal f***ing ugly test set I made for KAW team back in early 2010, despite me having some other nicer fittable sets at my disposal. Yes I have been angry about that. Very very angry. But now I am ok, good doctors care for me here ;)

This work is done to fix that omission of mine and I tired hard to make Korea nice place to fly in.

      What's this:

      -new summer and winter tilesets
-new tile layout-following dedicated TOD objects, with densely placed and rather real-size objects
-new era-themed ground objects (barracks, fuel tanks, tents, HQ, fire houses, misc buildings etc) to replace the stock TW ones, be it in airbases or targetareas
-some older target objects have their textures tweaked or repainted under fair use license; that is mostly various "halle" objects by either Gepard or Gocad
(various runways are yet to be repainted)
-lots of targetareas have re-positioned targets to avoid i.e. barracks in the middle of tree cluster or factories sunken within tod buildings -but there is still LOTS of places to redo. You have been warned.
-lots of targetareas expanded with additional eyecandy civilian village-type objects (though these are still a bit of WIP and bit "generic asian" in appearance; also these are old, like 5 years old)
-the tiles are specfically tuned to work best with SARCASM 2 beta 2 update 1 lighting and sky

      Installation (read carefully!):

-given the amount of objects this pack replaces you are advised to keep archived full current Korea terrain you use (it's called BACKING UP and it's really healthy, trust me)
-this pack assumes you do have working Korea (v3) terrain installed and tested in your installation -dedicated Korean War installation in of course preferable
-before installing content of this 7-zip archive, go to your Korea3 folder and delete EVERY SINGLE TOD file there (the files with .tod extension) -otherwise you might end with trees in wrong places of houses in the sea. Yes, really.
-you can delete the seasonal tiles folders (winter, spring, fall, late fall etc) as this pack has new unique seasons in their new folders with new naming (fade_summer and fade_winter; why "fade"? This months-long project I kept under such code name to confuse my better half or possible Insky-related hacker bot that keeps attacking my emails. Ohh wait, where's my tilfoil hat?)
-extract this archive to a place of your choice and move the Korea3 folder to your terrains one overwriting all files when asked. Overwriting IS vital of course.
-you shall test my Sarcasm 2 beta (2 update 1) with this pack, really. i have my own, ohh well "art style" for SF2 series these packs represent; you might not like this but well, you can't change me can you?
-in SF2 WW2 forum I released some new or updated effects, work well with this pack
-you're pretty much good to go at this point

      Licensing:
CA Freeware license apply -not to be used in any payware project; But you are encouraged to repaint and tweak the tiles, objects and associated graphis, tods to fit your own tileset or terrain.

      Credits:
The author of the original decade old SFP1 Korea mod terrain as I tried to replicate it's general green-brownish tones.
Wrench and KAW team for Korea3 and everything-Korea related. Than you guys. KAW mod is not yet dead. Or I'd rather say quite alive and kicking.
Do335 for his work invested in putting the KAW team work and available assets back together. Much appreciated.
Luk1978 for sharing with us his interesting repaint of my Taiwan/Korea set that gave me few ideas about the general feel of the set, thank you. Be back to SF2 please as you quietly do interesting stuff IMO.
All the good and bad souls at Combat Ace and around :P

      CHANGES:
I highly recommend to overwrite previous files decals/weapons/guns- or best is delete the old one and put new files.
YOU NEED TO DELETE OLD AIRCRAFT FOLDERS CH-53Cand HH-53C and HH-53B from Vietnam pack.  Many things were changed and as tested Overwriting may cause some problems...So delete old ones put new ones.
The rest (except Aircraft folders) are same can be overwritten without fear.
Small changes in ini files, corrections on fuel loadout, changes in cockpit ini.
Small changes in skins. Also No longer fake weapon "no gun" is needed - thanks to The Trooper. He pointed small fix in data.ini.
Added simple bump and specular maps. Also added damage tgas.
Major changes in the cockpit - now it is much more correct. Although probably not everyone cares ore will see a difference. Anyway.

      ******************IMPORTANT******************
FakePilot mod needed to run this mod.
      As always.
      Standard animation commands HH-53 C:
LANDING GEAR - Nose light deploy/retract at any speed.
ANIMATION 1 - cargo ramp half open
      ANIMATION 2 - cabin windows
      ANIMATION 3 - wipers outside/inside
      ANIMATION 4 - refueling probe
Hook - changes position when refueling to see the tip of the spear.
      rescue op:
Open "bombbay" doors - cargo ramp and right side hatch/door
ANIMATION 8 - Open side doors, lower jungle penetrator
      ANIMATION 9 - deploy PJ
      ANIMATION 10 - lower/raise hoist.
Animation 8, 9 and 10 have a speed limit. So you can't hoist on full speed.
With little practice, you can even hoover. Without fake flaps and airbrakes.
Important here to control is using rudder and vector thrust control.
Normally throttle vector control on 88-89 degree increase power 70% then slowly more and more, wait and it will take off.

      Cockpits.
One cockpit for HH-53C and CH-53C equipped with RWR and one cockpit for earlier non rwr HH-53B. Historically not all HH-53C airframes were equipped with RWR. BUt this mod covers RWR mod installed.
      Skins.
All serial numbers are based on available photos and are historically correct and few versions of one unit for each helo.
Few versions of one unit for each helo.
      CH-53C 21st SOS
      HH-53C 37th and 40th ARRS
      HH-53B 37th and 40th ARRS
      Weapons.
The only "offensive" weapon is left/right side gunner equipped with GAU-2 minigun. Well, it is quite a defensive weapon.
Unlike in pack 'Over Europe' here CH-53C can't be equipped with a refueling probe (small ini tweak will do the trick).
Fuel Tanks 450 US Gal. for CH-53C and HH-53C and 650 US Gal. for HH-53B
There is a separate weapon station called SandyStation - with allowed all sort of offensive weapons. Purpose of this station is to fly with Sandy (or any other USAF aircraft) as wingman fully loaded. Same way can be added Sandy fuel tanks.
      IMPORTANT -
Due to tu construction of this mod, it is better to use collision and landing on NORMAL setting. On hard, you may have some complications on the airfield - especially with underslung cargo load.

Pilots - best to use is OldDiego's pilots.

      Have fun.

    15. Iraq, Western Asia (2003-2018)

      Iraq, Western Asia (2003-2018) Terrain
      August 13th, 2017 (1st Release)
      by Menrva

      >For Strike Fighters 2, Recommended Full-5 Merged
This is a complete remake of the IR2003 terrain released long time ago by Wrench.
The entire map has been retargetized and retiled using a whole new tileset, combining tiles from JSF_Aggie, Stary, Centurion-1 and my bad transition tiles. All major water bodies, lakes and some minor rivers have been hand-tiled. The Caspian Sea coast had to be hand-tiled as well. Numerous target areas have been added in order to expand playability, targets of opportunity and year range.
This terrain features a fresh new 250m resolution heightmap (instead of the stock 500m resolution), allowing for greater details and precision in elevation changes; overall it provides the whole terrain with a better look.
The terrain spans from May 2, 2003 (the day following the end of major combat operations of Operation Iraqi Freedom) to December 31, 2018; it is designed for fictional clashes between US-backed Iraq and Iran. It's the perfect playground for the fictive Operation Darius scenario created by the CombatACE community. Iran is Enemy, Iraq is Friendly, other countries are Friendly as well.
Targets reflect Real World events as accurately as possible; for instance, certain Iraqi airbases will be abandoned by 2004 or by other dates (some airports were converted to simple U.S. Army FOBs), etc. Some airfields won't be available after a certain date and/or will change name according to historic changes.
All main targets are in their Real World locations (I tried to be as accurate as possible, to such a level that even surpasses ThirdWire's stock terrains). Shiraz Int'l Airport and Prince Sultan Airbase are beyond the Wall. However, if you have SF2NA, long range AI flights can be generated from such airbases.
Ground Objects are not included. You can obtain most of them from Wrench's original Iran-Iraq terrains, or from other mod packages.

      >Credits (in no particular order):
-Wrench, who reworked the original terrain and provided the CombatACE community with plenty of mods and scenarios to play with. He gave me invaluable advise, the tools I needed and introduced me to the beautiful, exhausting world of terrain modding/making. Thank you, sir!
-swambast, who offered to build two high quality 3D models (Mosul Dam and Mosul Grand Mosque), featured for the first time in this terrain, it's an honor! He also provided major help in tracking and fixing common and uncommon bugs. If the terrain is stable (no CTDs), it's his merit!
-Nyghtfall, for creating 3d models of the Kuwait Water Towers and Kuwait Freedom Towers.
-tiopilotos, for providing reworked .tga tiles with new alpha channels. Much appreciated!
-Spudknocker, who helped me complete the 1980-2003 beta version of the terrain, providing additional target areas.
-gerwin, whose TFDtool has proved to be essential in today's terrain making. If the terrain is pretty accurate to RL it's also because of him. I included his very nice Airfield 7+8 Addon Pack, too.
-MigBuster, I have included some of his great hi-res textures for runways.
-mue, for the improved shaders he made, which I have included and reworked for the terrain, and for the tools he made for SF2 modding.
-luk1978, for the waternormal bitmap he shared at the SF2 screenshots thread. Your mods are very interesting!
-Crusader, who provided me with the info I needed about ODS and other stuff related to targets.
-JSF_Aggie, for his high quality DS tileset, which I have expanded with my horrible transition tiles.
-7eleven, who directed me to a website filled with Desert Storm related info.
-Centurion-1, since I used some tiles from his Desert 4 Mountain Regions+ Addon. I tried to contact you for permission, but it seems RL got in your way. Your WIP mod about the Iran/Iraq war gave me the motivation to complete this terrain. The least I can say is thank you. Best of luck, mate!
-Stary, because his tilesets are pure art. I borrowed a few TODs and tiles from his excellent IsraelME tileset.
-Gepard, for his great tutorials about terrain making, in the SF1 Knowledge Base at CombatACE. It's a gold mine!
-Stratos, who supported me support during the terrain's development.
-krfrge, who has produced a tutorial for recreating SF2-like planning maps, which prompted me to work on templates and my own high quality planning maps. Thank you very much!
-comrpnt, for his Approach and Airfield Lighting Pack mod packages for SF1 series, which I reworked and included.
I am totally sure I missed someone, especially because the terrain was born from Wrench's original ones. So I also included Wrench's original readme files from his IR and IR2003 terrains to the end of giving proper credit to everyone involved directly or not.

      >Disclaimer:
This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages.
Any changes to the terrain package's files and/or any copy-and-paste attempts of their contents are NOT authorized if you plan to release them in other mods. But permission might be granted to those who request it to me at CombatACE.
This terrain may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions.

    16. F-15C Galm Team (Ace Combat Zero)

      Updated Version (09/09/17)

      What is it?
It's a paintscheme for the F-15C Eagle of the Ustio Air Force 6th Air Division, 66th Air Force Unit "Galm", from the game Ace Combat Zero. For F-15C (85).
The Galm Team are a Mercenary Unit hired by Ustio and attached to the 6th Air Division. In the opening days of the Belkan War, Ustio lost 70% of their Air Forces and needed to find replacements quickly. The use of "Unofficial Assets" AKA foreign mercanaries became valid and the Galm Team was hired. Since then, they've become one of the most famous units in the war and have become known by their Allies and their enemies. They are supported by AWACS Eagle Eye and are deployed from Valais Air Base.
During one encounter with the feared Schwarze Wing they were called "The Mercenary Dream Team". The name stuck with them.
The Galm Team had participated in every major battle that the Allied Forces had undertaken, during the Belkan War. Cipher and Pixy had gained much recognition from their Allies for their amazing feats of skill and from their enemies in many ways. Some of it respect, fear or hatred.
      Galm One
      Name: Unknown
      Callsign: Cipher
      Nationality:Ustio
Age: Late 20's to early 30's
      Sex: Male
      "The Demon Lord"
The leader of the 66th AFU of the Ustian 6th Air Division. A feared Ace, who trailed across the skies, bringing doom and destruction. One could say he is like the Razgriz, bringing death upon the land,( the first part of the war). Then he enters sleep, during the "6 Months Of Void"", then comes back as a hero defeating Pixy and his V2 from destroying the world. Little is known about him or where he went after the Belkan War. (player's character).
      Galm Two
      Name: Larry Foulke
      Callsign: Pixy
      Nationality: Belka
      Age: 28 (in 1995) 38 (in 2005)
      Sex: Male
      "A Brother in Arms".
Joined the Coup D'état forces and A World With No Boundaries after defecting from the Ustio Mercenary unit. It is rumored that he is currently a soldier in a volunteer army in a small country in Usea but, the info is still unconfirmed.

    18. realSKY Environment

      realSKY Environment
      January 13th, 2019 (1st Release)
      by Menrva

      >For Strike Fighters 2 games
This is my sky enhancement mod. It also combines the work of many other modders, in order to provide a realistic, better looking sky. Here below a quick summary of the changes:
-Tweaked sky colours, something in between Cellinsky's widesky and the stock SF2 colours.
-More realistic Night colours, sky and ambient are much darker.
-More atmospheric, reddish transition from Twilight to Night.
-New "dark blue" High Altitude colours (fly near space with a NF-104).
-Moon produces a yellowish light instead of the default purple.
-Sky is "wider" much like Cellinsky's widesky mod (background horizon clouds are bigger and more noticeable).
-Added beautiful cloud graphics made by Cellinsky and ShrikeHawk, tweaked for each weather type.
-Added a low number of stray clouds to Clear weather.
-Added noticeable clouds to Overcast weather and Inclement weather, "fixing" a known SF2 "bug".
-Combined various mods to produce a more interesting Rain Effect under Inclement weather.
-Added Stary's lens flare effects from the SARCASM 2 mod, in place of Cellinsky's widesky effects.
-Added Cloud Layer graphics by Stary, Fubar512 and Brain32.
-Reworked secondary atmospheric effects, such as contrails and wingtip vortexes.
In addition, the package includes alternative environment configuration files in the Alternative Weather folder; they enable different effects for the Inclement weather. You can choose between thunderstorm (default, adapt for most terrains), snowstorm (for cold, icy terrains) and sandstorm (for hot, desert terrains).
For those who wish not to change the effect globally, I highly suggest to try the included terrain-specific environment example provided for stock SF2 terrains; the default global effect is thunderstorm, while terrains with their own environment file either use sandstorm or snowstorm as appropriate. Use this as a basis to customize other terrains.
By setting the Effects to Unlimited, the game makes use of a DirectX 10 post processing effect; the stock game's post processing shader generates a pointless and horrible bloom effect which excessively blinds the player during twilight transitions.
By default, realSKY includes a reworked post processing shader (TWPOSTPROCESS.FX) which provides more contrast, more vignetting, minor color correction and a daytime-only bloom effect, so it's miles better than what the stock game offers. Alternative post processing tweaks are included in the Alternative Shaders folder; choose the one you wish to try (check the included screenshots for fast comparisons) and overwrite the default one in your mod's Flight folder.
If you don't care about the post processing effect, you may want to set the game's Effects to High in the Options menu.

      >Credits (in no particular order):
-Cellinsky, for his fantastic widesky mod from which I borrowed some tweaks.
-Stary, for his Thunderstorm and Heavy Snowfall weather mods, and his SARCASM 2 beta mod from which I borrowed some effects.
-PanamaRed, for tweaks in regards to Clouds (especially the Broken weather ones).
-Fubar512 and Brain32, for their Cloud Layer Top bitmaps, which I have smoothed for a better looking effect.
-ShrikeHawk, for his CloudSkins mods, from which I took the spectacular cloud graphics.
-BearGryllis, for his Thunderstorm Pack With Enhanced Lightnings 2.0b package.
-Orsin, for his Improved Rain Effect and Heavy Rain 0.8 mods.
-luk1978, for his interesting WeatherEffect package.
-ArmedLightning, for his Special FX v2.2 mod for the GTR 2 game, from which I borrowed a lens flare effect.
-baffmeister, for the idea of recreating sandstorm weather effects.
-tiopilotos, for suggesting improvements on other subjects.
-Eagle114th, for his Improved Wingtip Vortex mod which I have reworked.
-JosefK, guuruu and Coupi, for their interest and support.
I included the original readme files from the mentioned mods, where available, to the end of giving proper credit to everyone involved directly or not.

      >Disclaimer:
This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages.

    19. Third Wire F-8 Crusader Upgrade & Enhancement

This has been a labor of love for my all-time favorite fighter aircraft. The service period of this aircraft fits perfectly with the time period that the Strike Fighters 2 game engine gives its best: Gun armed jet fighters with short range missiles and early/ limited avionics.

      Changes:
      -    The ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ and ‘F-8 DATA & LOADOUT v1.0 update’ here at CA were used as a starting point for this project.
      -    Maximum G has been changed to 6.3 which is the airframe structural limit in all NATOPS publications.
      -    There are automatically operating ‘fake’ leading edge droops (slats) that simulates the pilot being able to lower them a few degrees with a button on the throttle for cruising flight and manoeuvring flight (aka dog fighting). By ‘fake’ I mean they are not player operated in SF2 or linked to the 3D model but the aerodynamic effect is realistically simulated. You will notice the droop indicator in the cockpit will change with them however. If they were manually controlled in the game the AI would not use them correctly.
      -    Single AIM-9 missiles and rails can be loaded instead of the Y-racks on all F-8 variants. This is done at the loadout screen (and by the loadout.ini file) it is set up so you cannot load single missiles/ rails and double missiles/ Y-racks at the same time.
      -    Cannons harmonized as per NATOPS manual and gun accuracy adjusted to real world levels.
      -    Adjustment to most decal positions and inclusion of Squadron codes on the wings.
      -    Additional details added to most stock skins.
      -    Additional squadron specific higher resolution skins with more accurate markings for that particular squadron.
      -    Included for F-8J (69) is a proposed SEA camo overpaint for the VF-211 aircraft on detachment at Udorn in early 1972 to school USAF pilots in Dogfighting. The repaint was initially agreed to but it would have added 1200lbs so it was abandoned. If you wish to use it and fly DACT against USAF Phantoms you can load the extra 1200lb at the load out screen via a unique station specific hard point.
      -    Overhaul of each data.ini and avionics.ini to bring them in line with the information in the F-8 NATOPS manuals, NATOPS supplements and F-8 Tactics manual.
      -    More detailed pilots and ejection seats.
      -    Fully compatible with ‘SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion v.2.0 Gold’ or Third Wire SF2V campaigns.
      -    Additional year specific aircraft to better reflect physical and avionic changes. As well as correcting a few mistakes and omissions by Third Wire.
      -    Below is the updated list of F-8 Crusader variants with the original Third Wire description where appropriate and the specific major changes made in addition to the general ones listed above:

      F-8C
The F-8C (F8U-2) entered service in 1959. F-8C is powered by J57-P-16 afterburning turbojet and can reach speed of Mach 1.6.
      -    Missing radar symbology added and radar performance/ parameters corrected. The radar cursor for selecting a target is a long horizontal line that moves up from the bottom of the scope and is only adjustable in range and not azimuth to select a specific radar contact.
      F-8C (66)
In 1966, F-8C received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN", after A-4 and F-4 were upgraded. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      -    Uses the TW F-8D model modified into a F-8C in order for it to have the Y-rack Fuselage weapon rails.
      F-8D
The F-8D (F8U-2N) was the all-weather interceptor version, entering service in 1960. It is equipped with AN/APQ-83 radar and more powerful J57-P-20 engine.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      F-8D (66)
F-8D also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      F-8E
The F-8E (F8U-2NE), entering service in 1962, was the final production version of the Crusader. It is equipped with better AN/APQ-94 radar, and two underwing pylons for air-to-ground ordnance.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including range rate circle, which also doubles as the steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8E (66)
F-8E also received ALQ-51 ECM and chaff dispensers under project "SHOEHORN" in 1966. The cannon ammo capacity is reduced slightly to make room for the ECM black box.
      -    Significant use of the AIM-9C as after a lot of research it turns out they were commonly carried over Vietnam in this period, notably by VF-211.
      F-8E(FN)
The F-8E(FN) is the French Aeronautique Navale version of the F-8 armed with Matra R.530 missiles. Nicknamed "Le Crouze" by the French crew, it operated off Clemenceau-class carriers from 1964 to 1994 until they were upgraded to F-8P standard. F-8E(FN) introduced many of the features, such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons, that were later incorporated into remanufactured F-8J for the US Navy.
      -    Equipped with the nose mounted IRST system like the USN F-8D and E.
      -    This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8E(FN) so the DLC is NOT required.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Location of Matra R.530 missile rails corrected.
      F-8E(FN) (70)
      -    The nose mounted IRST system is removed from all French aircraft.
      F-8P(FN)
      -    17 F-8E(FN) are upgraded to extend their service life, included is the Sherloc RWR system.
      -    This is the TW F-8J model modified into a F-8P(FN) so the DLC is NOT required.
      F-8P(FN) (94)
      -    F-8P(FN) are fitted with a GPS navigation system and antenna.
      F-8H
Starting in 1967, F-8Ds were remanufactured as F-8H, with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and the same underwing pylons as F-8E.
      -    Retains the AN/APQ-83 radar from the F-8D but uses the physically larger and higher resolution cockpit radar display from the F-8E.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See attached for more information.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8H (69)
F-8H is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      -    Improved AN/APQ-149 radar fitted in place of the AN/APQ-83.
      -    Additional missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle and separate smaller steering circle.
      -    A lot of fleet F-8H around this period have had their Nose IRST system (temporarily?) removed.
      -    Retains the ALQ-51 ECM.
      F-8H (74)
      -    After the Vietnam war F-8H has the improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod installed, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      F-8J
F-8J is a remanufactured F-8E with improved AN/APQ-149 radar, ALQ-51 ECM, and other improvements such as double-hinged leading edge flaps and drooping ailerons. However, its performance has suffered significantly due to increases in its weight.
      -    Improved AN/APQ-124 radar installed.
      -    Radar frame lock, range and shoot cue lights all completely changed and now function correctly. See screenshot for more information.
      -    Missing radar symbology added including separate larger range rate circle, separate smaller steering circle, aiming dot, break X and missile max range.
      -    Missile firing order and cockpit weapon station section dial corrected.
      F-8J (69)
To restore lost performance due to increased weight, F-8J is re-engined in 1969 with more powerful J57-P-420 engine. It also has improved ALQ-100 ECM in a larger pod, and full cannon ammo capacity restored.
      F-8J (75)
      -    In 1975 the remaining fleet F-8J (along with the RF-8G) receive the ALQ-126 ECM and ALR-45/50 RHAW RWR. The nose mounted IRST system is permanently removed.
      F-8J (75) [w RWR]
      -    Identical to F-8J (75) above except:
      -    The cockpit radar display functions as a Vector RWR and not a radar. This is because in real life the pilot could change the radar scope from displaying radar images or displaying the RWR images. The F-8J did not have a separate RWR display. There was a setting in which it would be displaying radar images but if a missile launch was detected the threat bearing line would be displayed flashing over top of the radar images. Not possible in SF2 unfortunately.

      To install:
1, Unpack and drop into your main mods folder.
      2, Override when prompted.

    21. Improved Countermeasure Effect

All in all, this is a mod that restores the visual effects of Flare according to the photos IRL, you can refer to the screenshot I uploaded.
In addition to purely visual effects, the response to gravity has also been adjusted by the way, so this mod will look more realistic overall.
And of course, this is still a BETA version, I think I need to make further adjustments.

      Usage:
Copy Effects and Objects folders into your SF2 main folder

    24. SF2: Modern Warfare Taiwan V1.01 Part 1

      25 Dec 2010 : Merry Christmas.

Strike Fighters 2: Modern Warfare Taiwan V1.01 by Spectre8750

      Campaign For SF2, SF2:E, SF2:V, SF2:I or
      SF2,SF2:E,SF2:V and/or SF2:I Merged Install.

This Campaign is a culmination of many to hit on the possability of the
situation in the Far East coming to a head and represent the possible Air
      Battle.

The Campaign includes Taiwan, Australia, RAF, Japan, Hungary, USAF, USMC,
USN with Carrier support, and China and the Soviet Union.

Extra Files are required: The E-2C-R3.LOD for the E-2C "HawkEye" from
Skunkworks, all other files for that Aircraft are included and modded. Do
not overwrite the other Files. The E-3A.LOD's for the E-3 "Sentry" can be
found in Operation Desert Storm in the "ODS_part1.exe" file. You only need
the LOD's all others are already included. This Aircraft is not crucial
but fun to Include. Also the F-16A(10) uses the F-16A_Netz.LOD's not
included but will work if You have SF2:Isreal loaded. If not it is not
crucial as it is for the Mercenary Player only and won't affect the Game if
not present. All other files are included and modified and needed as is.
If you modify included files, I can't guarantee results.

      Installing the Campaign:

Install as per the Knowledge base for Standalone Mods.
And Delete The Aircraft and Ground Objects before you dump these files in.

Also Included an Icon for the Main Dir to use with the Desktop Shortcut.

A Menu ModuleMWT.cat file is included for Menu Screens and Music.

Open the "StrikeFighters2 War for Taiwan.INI" file you created and make sure
it has the fallowing at the bottom:

      [Module]
      ModuleDataFile=ModuleMWT.cat
      DefaultTerrainData=Taiwan
      DefaultAircraft=F-16A(20)

Now go to the new "Mod" "\StrikeFighters2 Modern Warfare Taiwan\Terrains\Taiwan"
Folder and open the TAIWAN.INI file and remove the semicolon in front of the
game you have loaded as follows. Example if you have SF2 Israel.

      ;CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat
      ;CatFile=..\Desert\Desert.cat
      CatFile=..\IsraelME\IsraelME.cat
      ;CatFile=..\VietnamSEA\VietnamSEA.cat

Leave all others with a semicolon.

You should be ready to go.

I want to thank the Following for making
This Mod possible with a special thanks to
Gepard for the original Formosa Strait Terrain
and Stary for the Tile and objects Update:

    25. TMF's Mirage F.1C for SF2

      Dassault Mirage F.1C by TMF

For SF2 (any and all, Merged or not)

This is a semi-complete upgrade of The Mirage Factory's Mirage F.1C to SF2 standards.I call this 'semi-complete', as some tweeks are still needed (see "Notes" below). A cockpit upgrade, loosly based on my AMI F-104S-ASA-M adds a working HUD for all modes, various A-A modes, and Ground Mapping. Some functions may be too modern, but hey, it all works!!! The cockpit is still the Zippers, as originally released with. A new userlist ini is also included, with hopefully everyone and fairly close operational years. A new SF2 style Hangar screen is also included!

Several weapons are included, from the GunnyPak. Loadouts are set for mostly French weapons, with the occasional NATO slipping in (Sidewinders in the early operational years). (see Notes for comments on the desert skinned drop tank)
Skins and decals included in this pak are from (iirc) the original release, and maybe some others:

      AdA Blue
      EDA Camo
      Greece Blue
      Desert

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me. PLEASE read them.

With special Thanks to TMF & Sony Tuckson for giving permission to modifiy and upload.

      Good Hunting!
