    3. All jigs, tools and components for the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter in Czechoslovakia at the time of the German surrender were seized by the Soviet forces and then handed over to the newly restored Czechoslovak government by Marshal Ivan Konev. Forward fuselages and other components of the Me 262 had been manufactured at Letnany, some components had been produced in converted railway tunnels, and the CKD and Walter works had built the Junkers Jumo 004 turbojet, assembly of the fighters having been undertaken at Cheb, near the German border. Sufficient components were recovered for Avia to build 17 single- and two-seat Me 262s, the first single-seater flying as the S 92.1 on 27 August 1946. Dubbed the Turbina (Turbine).

    4. This is something nobody else may have done before, as far as I know. This is a pack of 30+ single missions designed and written to form a slightly branching campaign experience, with the aid of an included briefing book to guide you through the process. I've been frustrated by SF2's campaign mechanism and wanted to put out a mission pack that tells a bit more story and is a bit more immersive in nature, rather than letting the game's campaign code just generate mission after mission with no real sense of continuity or panache.

The mission pack is basically a more detailed, story-driven version of the campaign you play in SF2NA. This one is based a little more closely on Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising", the biggest difference being that the Soviets hold ALL of Iceland, not just part of it. Although it doesn't follow Clancy's novel exactly, many of the scenario driven elements of these missions will be intimately familiar to fans of the book.

A full explanation of all facets of the mod is included in the 'README first!' file in the zip file. That is the place to start for a full description of the mission pack, as well as information on required and recommended mods needed to play. The required mods list is a bit on the heavy side, but totally worth it. None of the required mods were altered in any way by me, and all credit and kudos go to the mod authors for their work.

The Operation Nordic Storm Campaign Briefing Book is included in the zip file, in .pdf format. You'll need adobe acrobat reader in order to use the briefing book- I don't expect that will be a big issue for anyone here. The briefing book is what allows you to play a string of 'single missions' as a branching 'campaign,' as well as go beyond the game's often-simplistic definitions of success and failure for various mission types. A full explanation on the use and purpose of the briefing book is included in the 'README first!' file.

I really enjoyed creating and play-testing this mod, and if it is well received I may do a similar mod based on a circa-2010 fictional conflict against Iran (with some Russian help) in the Persian Gulf. Feedback and bug reports are always welcome. The important thing is to read the README file in its entirety. Use wordpad to access the README file to see it in the proper formatting. Enjoy!

    6. When Edward's Korean War mod for SF1 had filled a gap in the world of combat air simulations, I had then participated with a dedicated Medals Pack. Now the range of available models for SF2 expands at lightspeed, a new all-inclusive KAW mod for SF2 may soon be laid, and I'd want to be a part of it too. A former work of mine had proposed new counters and screens for SF2, now I'm delivering a Korean War Medals Pack that is a largely expanded version from my former set of national awards for SF1 (also including anthems and musics). The decorations sources are: stock SF2:E, stock First Eagles, Charles' Medals Pack v2.0 for SF1, my own works for Wings Over Vietnam, and many new personal creations devoted to that mod. The complete lists of now available awards are displayed below. You will notice that North Korea and Communist China are still missing, I could try to update in a later future...

    8. In 1947 on BE 708 "Mézergues" airbase near Meknès (Maroc), the "Centre d'Instruction à la Chasse" (CIC) and the
"Centre de perfectionnement à la chasse" (CPC) formed the new "Ecole de Chasse Christian Martell", dedicated to
a French pilot instructor and WWII hero.
From 1951 were delivered fist jets: T-33A and Vampire. On 1957 arrived the MD-550 Ouragan (done) and later the Fouga Magister (coming).
The Ecole left Maroc on 1961 and went to Tours and became Groupe d'aviation GE 314.
