    1. Dogfight version 2.3 for Thirdwire Simulators (Series 1 and Series 2)

If you had problems with the previous version not seeing your install this version
is far better at finding the files it needs and will produce a log file to help identify problems
Dogfight is a quick mission generator much like Microsofts Quick Combat and
      Ubisofts Quick Mission Builder.
This simple little program is an attempt to add similar facility to Thirdwire products
without editing Mission files by hand, or struggling with a complex Mission Editor.
So, using it you should be up and flying against a selected opponent within a few
seconds (once you're use to the system anyway!).

The action begins at a seperation of 2-4 km.

      To use you:
      1) Start Dogfight.
      2) Select aircraft types, numbers and heights, Pilot training etc.
      3) Press the Red WRITE MISSION button.
      4) LEAVE Dogfight running.
      5) Start the Thirdwire Simulator.
      6) Go to the Single Mission page and then Load Mission Menu.
      7) Click on the name of the mission that you just created in dogfight(default is "0 Dogfight").

      8) When you want to change the mission click on Alt and Tab simultaneously.
      9) Select Dogfight, make your changes and then press the red WRITE MISSION button.
      10) Return to the Thirdwire Simulator by clicking it on the task bar (or alt tabbing if you prefer).
      11) ALWAYS RESELECT THE MISSION from the Single Mission-Load Misiion Menu to update the information.
      12) Play the mission!

Repeat 8-12 as many times as you want

This sounds a bit long winded but you do soon get used to it.

      Installion
      -------------
      Unzip Dogfight.zip.

Find the folder called Dogfightv2.3 containing:
      templates (folder)
      df.cfg
      df.exe
      readme.txt

COPY Dogfightv2.3 INTO THE TOP LEVEL OF THE DIRECTORY WHERE YOU INSTALL YOUR MODS. There is
an Options.ini file in this directory as well.

i.e Dogfightv2.3 and Objects are at the same level.

OPEN THE Dogfightv2.3 FOLDER AND CREATE A SHORTCUT FROM DF.exe TO YOUR DESKTOP
(or wherever you want to launch if from).

      Testing
      --------
      DogFight has been tested with:
FE1 and FE2 (Viurtually all of the aircraft from CombatAce and the Skunkworks with Peter01 fms)
      SF1 (chiefly SCW)
WOE (Principally Wings Over Russia and Wings Over Africa).
SF2, and SFNA2, (Skunkworks PTO) (CombatAce BOB) and with additional aircraft thrown in.
I've also tried it with some early Korean War era jets.
Only briefly tried it with more modern types.

The program was written using Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2010 C++ and FLTK.
FLTK (Fast Light Toolkit) is a great free package for constructing GUIs really quickly and easily.
Without it I doubt that I would have had time to write this program.

      Thanks

Thanks to TK for creating a marvellous set of Sims. I love the way they work with TrackIR.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many add on creators at Combatace and
the Skunkworks who have given me many hours of great gaming.

I hope Dogfight helps to provide some entertainment for Thirdwire Simulator Users.

    2. This model represents the Abukuma class destroyer escorts (DE-229~DE-234), in service with the JMSDF from 1989 to present. They are designed as cost-effective general-purpose escorts with an emphasis on anti-sub and anti-surface warfare. "Destroyer escort" is the JMSDF's equivalent term for "frigate."

The Abukuma class features a 76mm gun, Phalanx CIWS, two 4-canister SSM launchers, ASROC launcher, and ASW torpedoes. Installation of a RAM launcher is also planned for the near future.

A full names list and authentic decals are included. This ship is best used in conjunction with my Kongo, Takanami, Murasame, Asagiri, Hatsuyuki, and other upcoming Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force capital ships.

    3. This pack includes:

      F-4A Phantom II (block 1)
      - J79-GE-2 engine (66,7 kN)
      - AN/ALQ-50 radar

      F-4A Phantom II (block 3)
      - J79-GE-2A (71,6 kN)
      - AN/APQ-72
      - AAA-4 IR sensor
      - Multiple bomb racks

I am not a 3D modeller, so I had to use stock F-4B model, with some removed nodes and some textures repainted to mask the most visible differences between F-4A and F-4B, so please consider this mod more as a stand-in, than a fully realistic model of the aircraft.

The first splits the the Blackbird’s life from the beginning to early 80’s,thesecond from 1982 to the end of it’s career in 1997-98 including late 90’s airframes reactivations.
This was made to let you use the respective style numbers and markings (early whites and late reds) and for the crews that can wear both early white and late pale orange David Clark S-1030 suits.
Most of the skins are standalones aircrafts,USAF EARLY and USAF LATE are decalled to include many planes for AC type.

    5. C-54D Hilo Hatie
      March 2016.
This is fake pilot mod of C-54D by Veltro. Original file can be found here

      http://combatace.com/files/file/14309-sf2-douglas-c-54-skymaster-by-veltro2k/

This mod represents Big Safari modified C-54D for recon flight under code name Hilo Hattie. Modifications included installation of a new night photography capability with photo flash cartridge ejector and Reconflex VI infrared camera.

C-54D 43-17235 began operations on 20 April 1962 with a cover story for aircraft's purpose.
Hilo Hattie mapped all of south Vietnam and border areas of Laos and Cambodia. During 10 months of service, the aircraft flew 102 missions before it was replaced by Brave Bull - Big Safari modified C-97G.

So this mod is mostly for players interested in Wings Over Vietnam.

      = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! =

This the release of the Veltro2k's WW2 & Post-War US Cargo aircraft, made most famous by it's use during the Berlin Airlift.

It is REQUIRED that you have some measure of SF2, merged to whatever level, as this mod references the stock An-12's destroyed model. Hence, the need (as I state it always) for a Full 5 Merged install. It is usable without, but you may not have the dead, burning wreckage on the ground. It has NOT been tested in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level. It most likely will =NOT= work, due to LOD coding.

This pack includes the following 4 skins for the C-54:

      OD/Grey, with 1942-43 'star-and-ball'
      OD/Grey, late WW2 (late 43-later), 'star-and-bar'
Natural Metal, Late WW2, to late 1947 (pre-USAF formation)
"USAF", Natural Metal, post 0ctober 1947 (tagged with Military Air Transport badges star-bar w/red stripe).

      The AvHistory engine is included.
Skins are in jpg format, and decal radomization is set to TRUE for all. ALL markings are decals. The damage textures are in DDS format. The template is included for other skinners (and in the hopes someone can clean up the mess I made of it!!
Each skin has it's own Hangar Screen, matching the paint job (more or less).
The cargo loading door/ramp opens and closes with the standard Bombay key (Control/0).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Notes" section a read, in particular on operational usage, and the FM and other stuff like that there.

      Happy Landings!

    7. ATT!!! before downloading if you have the old one , Erase completely including decal folder ,as this replaces all.
The Ilyushin Il-76 (NATO reporting name: Candid) is a multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Ilyushin design bureau. It was first planned as a commercial freighter in 1967, as a replacement for the Antonov An-12. It was designed for delivering heavy machinery to remote, poorly served areas of the USSR. Military versions of the Il-76 have seen widespread use in Europe, Asia and Africa, including use as an airborne refueling tanker or as a command center.

    8. Free/Incoming Weapon Custom View 1.0

This is a Viewlist.ini mod. Perhaps someone else have found out this trick, but here I share what I have done. It's a great modding tool as well.

      How to Use

      Copy VIEWLIST.INI into <your mod folder>/Flight

Press F9 for Weapon View (press F9 again to cycle multiple instances)

This is the Weapons View you had before, but you can zoom and pan freely. Great tool for weapon modders like me.

Press F10 for Tower View Incoming Weapon View (press F10 again to cycle more instances - if present)

Since I had to use WeaponInFlight instead of the non-working PlayerTarget entry, you can view any weapons that have been launched by anyone during mission. Missiles, bombs, rockets - as long as they have been launched but not yet impacted or self destructed upon the end of lifetime. Weapons launched both friendlies and enemies can be seen.

Example of usage: Upon "SAM Launch" message, press F10 as fast as possible to catch the launch moment of the incoming missile. Good if you want to practice evasion - or to feel pervert joy in seeing your enemies incinerated by friendly air defense systems.

    9. Venom NF.51 / J-33 (stopgap)

Well this a fake Venom Nightfighter for new outstanding campaign in Sweden by JonathanRL.

I made this 'plane' around original fantastic skin from Knug.

A working radar is added, but Kevin could tweak it! (that's not my job)

The serial numbers (as usual) are historical.

You must have installed my Vampire FB.50 to work properly.
      Take it here http://combatace.com/files/file/12332-dh-vampire-fb20-j-28b/

Install: as usual all in mod folder.

I hope that someone of our 3D artists could make the real Venom NF.51 and the long awaited Sea Venom.

      Enjoy!

Templates for the ThirdWire Super Mystere B2 / Sa'ar at 2048 pixels in PSD format. You must have a software program that reads and works with PSD layers. These were built in Photoshop CC 2015. Gimp and Paint.net are two free programs that work with PSD layers.

Opacity is adjustable for all layers.

These can be saved in JPG format for SF2 or BMP format for SF1.

Add your own paint, dirt and weathering.

    13. File version 1.1 check the changelog for more info

This is dual -two cockpits in one!- pack of slightly "what if" cockpits for IAI Sa'ar.

The cockpits are bit of "creative guesswork" Israeli updates of my SMB2 cockpit released earlier this month.

The two variants are BOTH installed in the same folder, you have two cockpit ini files so the matter of chosing the right cockpit is which one you'll point towards in SuperMystere_Saar.INI

SAAR_COCKPIT.INI -this one is basically upgraded and slightly repainted SMB2 cockpit with added RWR and some RHAW annunciators lights.

SAAR_COCKPIT_Upgraded.INI -this is slightly more advanced with slightly redesigned dashboard and it's frame (annunciators lights, moving of brakes and chute pull levers, removal of SMB2 style attention lights here and there etc) added RWR and tape-style AOA and accelerometer instruments. Currently the AOA doesn't work, blame my brainfarts.

I have addded new avionics data file that adds simple RWR (vector type, detection based on A-4F one) and 2.7NM range boresight radar for A2A ranging use.

The simpler version uses simplified gunsight from Kfir, the advanced uses one taken from Nesher to represent avionics, optics and electronics upgrades.

      Installation:

This pack assumes you have Saar installed in your SF2 installation -the stock Saar version prefferably but should work ok with 3rd party version (or other plane of your choice for that matter)

Unpack to SuperMystere_Saar folder, overwrite when asked.

now, by default this pack uses the CockpitDataFile=SAAR_COCKPIT.INI cockpit data, change to CockpitDataFile=SAAR_COCKPIT_UPGRADED.INI to use the other bit more advanced version.

      have fun

      History

Since the early nineties, the Italian Air Force has eagerly been seeking a replacement for its vintage Aeritalia F-104S Starfighters. Its intended replacement is the Eurofighter Typhoon. Since this program has been running behind schedule for a few years, the Italian air force needed a stop-gap solution. Because the AMI possesses a vast number of Tornado IDS planes, they decided to lease 24 Tornado ADV fighters from the RAF for a 10-year period. This lease ended in 2003 so a replacement was sought. At first the AMI opted to extend the lease period with another 10 years. This proved to be too expensive, so the Italian government turned to the US. The requirement was for a fighter that could perform the air defense mission for 5 to 10 years, until the arrival of the Typhoon.

On March 15th, 2001 the Italian government signed an LoA for a 5-year lease (with an option on another 5 years) of 34 F-16s and four spare airframes, in a deal worth up to $777 million over a 10-year period. The aircraft were delivered between July 2003 and November 2004. In total, 30 F-16A ADFs as well as 1 F-16B ADF and 3 F-16B block 5 & 10's will be delivered. Four more planes will be provided for use as spare parts.

Before delivery to Italy, the aircraft are brought out of storage at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz. and transfered to the Ogden ALC at Hill AFB, Utah, where they undergo 220 days of refurbishment and upgrades.

The Falcons are given a complete refurbishment, which complied with all technical compliance-technical orders that have changed since the aircraft was placed in stasis in Arizona. The depot teams at Hill AFB did structural modifications including Falcon-Up, which replaces particular bulkheads and the structural life improvement program, which strengthens holes around the fuel cell panels and wheel wells by compressing the molecules with 30,000 pounds of pressure. The wings were removed and the bulkhead furthest aft that holds the vertical wing was replaced. The landing gear was refurbished and its bulkhead was also replaced.

The flight controls actuators are replaced with new actuators. In addition the computers and instruments that provide the Falcon its technological edge are removed, sent to the appropriate facilities to be tested then repaired if necessary. All equipment that is a time change item and that has less than a full year's worth of service left is changed.

Approximately 100 Italian Air Force maintenance officers, instructors and technicians are receiving F-16 maintenance training at Lockheed Martin facilities in Fort Worth, Texas.

      End of service

On May 23rd, 2012 a disbanding ceremony was held at Trapani-Birgi AFB to mark the disbandment of the resident 18 Gruppo, which was the sole surviving F-16 squadron within the AMI. This marked to end of the service life of the F-16 within the Italian Air Force. This means the AMI is the first air force to fly with the F-16 that phases out the type.

      Modifications & Armament

The planes provided to Italy have a standard ADF configuration. All aircraft receive the uprated Pratt & Whitney F100-220E engine and undergo the Falcon-Up structural enhancement program. It is confirmed that a number of weapon systems will be released to the AMI to be used in conjunction with the F-16s, including the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile,
