    2. Gloster Javelin F.Mk56 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the Veltro2K's superb Gloster Javelin to give a fictional Javelin F.Mk56 'Dhanush' of the Indian Air Force with markings for the equally fictitious No.36 'Trishula' squadron and, in this revised upload, I've also included markings for No.14 Squadron (Bulls).

      BACKSTORY
The expansion of the Indian Air Force during the mid-1950's saw the planned procurement of the Hawker Hunter fighter-bomber and the English Electric Canberra bomber in substantial quantities but Indian Air Force planners saw the lack of an all-weather interceptor as a problem and urged the Indian Government for increased funds for a suitable aircraft. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru initially blocked the idea but soon agreed to allow a delegation from the Gloster Aviation Company to make a presentation to the Indian Government and the Chiefs of the Indian Air Force.
With the end of the Javelin production line looming Gloster were proposing two new export version of the Javelin Mk8 to India -  the F.Mk55 (Sapphire-enginned) and F.Mk56 (Avon-enginned) versions. Indian Air Force chiefs were very enthusiastic about the possibility of having its three main combat aircraft use the same jet engine (albeit the Javelin's Mk.205 Avon engines had a simple afterburner fitted) and urged Nehru to proceed with the purchase of 80 aircaft but Nehru demanded to meet the Gloster delegation himself to thrash out terms. Gloster cannily sent Graeme Kimmage, who had attended Cambridge University with Nehru, to conduct the negotiations and eventually secure a deal for 80 Javelin F.Mk56's.
Entering service with No.36 'Trishula' squadron based at Pathankot in 1958 the Javelins only really became a complete weapon system when mated with the indigenous 'Baan' (Arrow) air-to-air missile which entered service in 1960. From this time the Javelins quickly earned the most appropriate nickname of 'Dhanush' (bow) and saw  limited service over Goa (in the recconnaisance role) but played a major role in the 1965 war with Pakistan claiming several kills including three F-86's, one F-104 and six B-57's. However, with the MiG-21 entering service the Javelin's days were numbered and the Javelin force slowly faded away and by 1975 the popular and legendary 'Dhanush' had gone for good.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Javelin56 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Javelin56 folder into your Decals folder.
      3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the 'BAAN' and 'TANK300_JAV' folders to your Weapons folder.
      That's it!

    4. Installation

1.After unziping the mod archive first copy the A-50 folder into:

      *\Objects\Aicraft\ folder.

2.Then copy the content of the fake_pylon folder, except the text file into:

      *\Objects\Weapons\ folder.

3.Add the content of weapons.txt file to the weapondata.ini file.

4.Then start the Weapon Editor Application (WeaponEditor.exe), and load the weapondata.ini file and SAVE ! It's important.

5.Keep in mind that this plane uses a LARGE runaway, alright ?, so any terrain which DOESN'T have at least one LARGE runaway for the ENEMY (just check the targets.ini file for airfields and runaways to be sure) it will crash the game. It took me a while to realize that but finally i did and I updated the readme for letting you all know that as well. For the time being, Madagascar terrain and Vietnam map don't have , for ENEMY, a large runaway. (In my personal setup I added one for each to be able to play there, too)

6.If you have a favorite jet you wanna accompany you and you need fuel tanks for it, just replace the default MIG-29 fuel tank setting on the fake pylon declaration with the one you desire.

The modded AWACS has air-to-air/air-to-ground radar (360 degrees and 200 miles radius for BOTH!) and target lock features. It can see and lock to a target which is 200nm ahead. This way you can surveillance a whole area and lots of enemy planes keeping an eye on any buggy which winds up too close to you. It also has ECM measures, missiles decoys (chaff & flares) and RWR capabilities so you will know if enemy has a lock on you or a radar guided missile is on its way to you.

Now start the game and select, in SINGLE PLAYER, A-50 plane. DON'T load weapons for YOUR plane (the AWACS), instead, from the roster, add two (or five) more aircraft. Leave first to be the A-50. The next ones made them "escort fighters", for instance choose two MIG-25/29/31 etc. Remember, for the sake of realism you can choose just soviet planes ONLY, for others , no ammo and missiles will be available. After selecting some fighters load them in the same menu with ammo and missile and just start the flight. In this scenario the wing will behave like a bomber wing, not like a usual fighter one, so you, with the AWACS you'll be in the center and other two fighters will be on your right and on your left. Other additional 3 (if you chose 5 escort planes) will go behind in a wall formation. You have air-air radar and you can see & lock planes which are 200nm ahead! After locking a fighter for example, if that fighter goes into your path and you have just 30km to it, send first two wingmen to intercept. First two plane will behave like your wingman in fighter missions, you can give them command "attack my target" so it's important to lock on an enemy plane first, obviously. If the events heat up you can order the next three fighter from the escort (if you chose 5 in total) to move in. Just give them the command "Engage Air" and if enemy fighters are near they will engage them as well. So basically you can have two planes behaving like a single wingman and other three that will engage in the area if enemy planes are near.

As a variation you can mix fighter and fighter/bomber planes in your escort and this way you can deal with ground threats, too. Are you nearby an enemy airbase and a SAM lock sound bothers you or an anti-air gun looks funny at you? Just search it with the "HOME" key, no matter how far/close it is and send some planes from your escort, which have antiradiation missiles (or other Air-to-surface ordnance) to take care of the problem.

-The mod was tested on SF1 WOI but it should work fine in other SF1 games (WOV, WOE etc).

I used the Veltro2k's E-767 avionics (AWACS 360 degrees radar this time!) and his famous A-50 Mainstay model which I found it here on the download section long ago, Pasko's Tu-16T cockpit and fake pylons. My only merit is that I just had the idea of transforming all these into an AWACS SINGLEPLAYER mode and that I tweaked it and put all together to make it work. Logan4 also contributed helping me to make the fuel indicator work (many thanks friend for that!).

-This mode is free of charge and can not be sold by anyone. Feel free to use this mode in your future project without asking permission, just don't forget to add me to the credits list.

    5. SF2 F-86L "Lima" Sabre Dog Revamp Pack    6/9/2020
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
      = For SF2 (Any & All) =
This package is designed to replace the original F-86L from the pack available from the folowing URL:
      https://combatace.com/files/file/10286-sf2-f-86dl-v10/
      by suhjake from 2009
It is =NOT= necessary to have the original mod pack, as this =WILL= replace it in total. Everything reusable from that pack will be included with this. If you do have the original installed, you will probably wish to remove, move, or delete it. Overwriting may cause conflicts.
As the Lima's were mostly used by USAF Air National Guard units, that is what's covered here. The following units are depicted herein:
      146th FIS PA ANG (57-60)
      190th FIS ID ANG (59-64)
      194th FIS, CA ANG (58-64)
      199th FIS, HI ANG (58-61)
3550th CCTW, Moody AFB, GA (late 50s/early 60s)
3555th CCTW, Perin AFB, TX (late 50s/early/60s)
      and a
USAF Silver (Generic) -a blank skin for other skinners to use. It does have the 'day glo' panels on the wings, fuselage and tail.
As only the 194th is listed in the stock squadron list ini, it uses a level=1 decal to activate the displayed squadron name on the Loading/Skin selection screen.
All of the Original Skins (PA ANG, 3550 & 3555 CCTWs) have been completely redone, although they remain in bmp format. All other skins are brand new for this package. 26 all new serial and buzz numbers, where used, have been created. While correct for this aircraft; all numbers are from the late-production Ds that were converted to Ls, they should be considered 'generic' in nature. State name identifiers and squadron markings are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins.
All weapons, pilots, etc are included. A backup copy of the original Data ini is already provided, as this new one has many modifications and adjustments.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... they can be accessed after unzipperizing. Please follow the 'usual instructions'

    7. Saunders-Roe Firebar FAW.2 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a very simple mod of the Yak-28P 'Firebar' to give a very fictional Saunders-Roe Firebar FAW.2 in service with No.29 squadron of the Royal Air Force. The Firebar is such a cool-looking Cold War jet and after dressing it up in RAF markings and posting screenshots a couple of people asked for it so here it is.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the FirebarFAW2 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the FirebarFAW2 folder into your Decals folder.
      3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the Redstorm folder into your Weapons folder.

    8. SF2 F-86D Sarbre Dog Revamp Pack    5/19/2020
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
      = For SF2 (Any & All) =
This package is designed to replace the original F-86D/L pack available from the folowing URL:
      https://combatace.com/files/file/10286-sf2-f-86dl-v10/
      by suhjake from 2009
It is NOT necessary to have the original mod pack, as this WILL replace it in total. Everything reusable from that pack will be included with this. On a side note, the F-86L "Lima" Sabre will be covered in a a seperate release. Even though the folder is named "F-86D-45" it represents =ALL= production blocks of the Sabre Dog, for those users included in the mod package.
The following units are depicted herein:
      101st Hikotai (56-68) - JASDF
      16th FIS (51-59) - PACAF, Misawa Japan
37th FIS (53-58) - Ethan Allen AFB, VT
      97th FIS (51-55) - Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
431st FIS "Red Devils" (55-58) - Wheelus AFB, Lybia
469th FIS (53-58) - McGhee Tyson AFB, TN
520th FIS (54-55) - Geiger Field, Spokane WA
146th FIS Pa ANG (57-60) -they used the F-86L congruently with the F-86D
      and a
USAF Silver (Generic) -a blank skin for other skinners to use.
All of the Original Skins have been completely redone, although they remain in bmp format. Several of the orignal decals have been reused, but modified from level 2 to level 0 (tail squadron markings). 26 all new serial and buzz numbers have been created. The 101 Hikotai and the 97th FIS & 431st do NOT use this same pool of numbers. They needed they're own for reasons that will become apparent during game play. The 431st is the ONLY unit in the pack that is listed on the stick squadronlist ini, and is tagged accordingly.
Most marking are decals; in some cases wing and squadron marking had to be painted on due to mesh issues (tail). Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. On the individual number lists, any number marked with a star (*) is 100% correct for that unit.
All weapons, pilots, etc are included. A backup copy of the original Data ini is already provided, as the new one has many modifications and adjustments.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... they can be accessed after unzipperizing. Please follow the 'usual instructions'
