    2. (Semi)fictional Austrian Kfir C.2

In the early 70s the Austrian government decided to buy modern fighter aircraft for its Air Force, to succeed subsonic J-29.Initially, the favorite was the Israeli Kfir, but finally Swedish J-35 was chosen.

This simple mod presents probable Kfir version for Austria, with removed outer wing pylons, missile rails and other equipment for A-A misiles, the use of which was prohibited by Austrian law.

This pack includes 2 skins: standard gray and the second with UN markings, which looks more realistic over desert or the Middle East (both are based on stock Kfir C.2 gray).

To use this plane, SF2:I with Kfir model is required.

    3. Kfir package

The Israel Aircraft Industries Kfir (Hebrew: ???????, "Lion Cub") is an Israeli-built all-weather, multirole combat aircraft based on a modified French Dassault Mirage 5 airframe, with Israeli avionics and an Israeli-built version of the General Electric J79 turbojet engine.

Install - For Strike fighters 2 Full Merge 4 or 5.

    4. Dogfight version 2.3 for Thirdwire Simulators (Series 1 and Series 2)

If you had problems with the previous version not seeing your install this version
is far better at finding the files it needs and will produce a log file to help identify problems
Dogfight is a quick mission generator much like Microsofts Quick Combat and
      Ubisofts Quick Mission Builder.
This simple little program is an attempt to add similar facility to Thirdwire products
without editing Mission files by hand, or struggling with a complex Mission Editor.
So, using it you should be up and flying against a selected opponent within a few
seconds (once you're use to the system anyway!).

The action begins at a seperation of 2-4 km.

      To use you:
      1) Start Dogfight.
      2) Select aircraft types, numbers and heights, Pilot training etc.
      3) Press the Red WRITE MISSION button.
      4) LEAVE Dogfight running.
      5) Start the Thirdwire Simulator.
      6) Go to the Single Mission page and then Load Mission Menu.
      7) Click on the name of the mission that you just created in dogfight(default is "0 Dogfight").

      8) When you want to change the mission click on Alt and Tab simultaneously.
      9) Select Dogfight, make your changes and then press the red WRITE MISSION button.
      10) Return to the Thirdwire Simulator by clicking it on the task bar (or alt tabbing if you prefer).
      11) ALWAYS RESELECT THE MISSION from the Single Mission-Load Misiion Menu to update the information.
      12) Play the mission!

Repeat 8-12 as many times as you want

This sounds a bit long winded but you do soon get used to it.

      Installion
      -------------
      Unzip Dogfight.zip.

Find the folder called Dogfightv2.3 containing:
      templates (folder)
      df.cfg
      df.exe
      readme.txt

COPY Dogfightv2.3 INTO THE TOP LEVEL OF THE DIRECTORY WHERE YOU INSTALL YOUR MODS. There is
an Options.ini file in this directory as well.

i.e Dogfightv2.3 and Objects are at the same level.

OPEN THE Dogfightv2.3 FOLDER AND CREATE A SHORTCUT FROM DF.exe TO YOUR DESKTOP
(or wherever you want to launch if from).

      Testing
      --------
      DogFight has been tested with:
FE1 and FE2 (Viurtually all of the aircraft from CombatAce and the Skunkworks with Peter01 fms)
      SF1 (chiefly SCW)
WOE (Principally Wings Over Russia and Wings Over Africa).
SF2, and SFNA2, (Skunkworks PTO) (CombatAce BOB) and with additional aircraft thrown in.
I've also tried it with some early Korean War era jets.
Only briefly tried it with more modern types.

The program was written using Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2010 C++ and FLTK.
FLTK (Fast Light Toolkit) is a great free package for constructing GUIs really quickly and easily.
Without it I doubt that I would have had time to write this program.

      Thanks

Thanks to TK for creating a marvellous set of Sims. I love the way they work with TrackIR.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many add on creators at Combatace and
the Skunkworks who have given me many hours of great gaming.

I hope Dogfight helps to provide some entertainment for Thirdwire Simulator Users.

    5. This model represents the Abukuma class destroyer escorts (DE-229~DE-234), in service with the JMSDF from 1989 to present. They are designed as cost-effective general-purpose escorts with an emphasis on anti-sub and anti-surface warfare. "Destroyer escort" is the JMSDF's equivalent term for "frigate."

The Abukuma class features a 76mm gun, Phalanx CIWS, two 4-canister SSM launchers, ASROC launcher, and ASW torpedoes. Installation of a RAM launcher is also planned for the near future.

A full names list and authentic decals are included. This ship is best used in conjunction with my Kongo, Takanami, Murasame, Asagiri, Hatsuyuki, and other upcoming Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force capital ships.

    6. This pack includes:

      F-4A Phantom II (block 1)
      - J79-GE-2 engine (66,7 kN)
      - AN/ALQ-50 radar

      F-4A Phantom II (block 3)
      - J79-GE-2A (71,6 kN)
      - AN/APQ-72
      - AAA-4 IR sensor
      - Multiple bomb racks

I am not a 3D modeller, so I had to use stock F-4B model, with some removed nodes and some textures repainted to mask the most visible differences between F-4A and F-4B, so please consider this mod more as a stand-in, than a fully realistic model of the aircraft.

This was made to let you use the respective style numbers and markings (early whites and late reds) and for the crews that can wear both early white and late pale orange David Clark S-1030 suits.
Most of the skins are standalones aircrafts,USAF EARLY and USAF LATE are decalled to include many planes for AC type.

    8. C-54D Hilo Hatie
      March 2016.
This is fake pilot mod of C-54D by Veltro. Original file can be found here

      http://combatace.com/files/file/14309-sf2-douglas-c-54-skymaster-by-veltro2k/

This mod represents Big Safari modified C-54D for recon flight under code name Hilo Hattie. Modifications included installation of a new night photography capability with photo flash cartridge ejector and Reconflex VI infrared camera.

C-54D 43-17235 began operations on 20 April 1962 with a cover story for aircraft's purpose.
Hilo Hattie mapped all of south Vietnam and border areas of Laos and Cambodia. During 10 months of service, the aircraft flew 102 missions before it was replaced by Brave Bull - Big Safari modified C-97G.

So this mod is mostly for players interested in Wings Over Vietnam.

      SF2 Douglas C-54 Skymaster by Veltro2K 9/23/2013

      = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! =

This the release of the Veltro2k's WW2 & Post-War US Cargo aircraft, made most famous by it's use during the Berlin Airlift.

It is REQUIRED that you have some measure of SF2, merged to whatever level, as this mod references the stock An-12's destroyed model. Hence, the need (as I state it always) for a Full 5 Merged install. It is usable without, but you may not have the dead, burning wreckage on the ground. It has NOT been tested in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level. It most likely will =NOT= work, due to LOD coding.

This pack includes the following 4 skins for the C-54:

      OD/Grey, with 1942-43 'star-and-ball'
      OD/Grey, late WW2 (late 43-later), 'star-and-bar'
Natural Metal, Late WW2, to late 1947 (pre-USAF formation)
"USAF", Natural Metal, post 0ctober 1947 (tagged with Military Air Transport badges star-bar w/red stripe).

      The AvHistory engine is included.
Skins are in jpg format, and decal radomization is set to TRUE for all. ALL markings are decals. The damage textures are in DDS format. The template is included for other skinners (and in the hopes someone can clean up the mess I made of it!!
Each skin has it's own Hangar Screen, matching the paint job (more or less).
The cargo loading door/ramp opens and closes with the standard Bombay key (Control/0).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Notes" section a read, in particular on operational usage, and the FM and other stuff like that there.

      Happy Landings!
