BELL AH-1Q COBRA Ver 1.0

This is a third party add on of the AH-1Q Cobra using models and cockpits created by me.
The original flight model is standard as on many free to download helicopters.
I have just modified it a bit.
It is designed for and works in the SF1 and SF2 series.
However this pack is build on SF1 folder tree.
For SF2 You have to separete Decals folders.
There is a plenty of tutorials how to convert to SF2 series.
There is a issue with tractorbeamshadow. I will try to fix this asap.
For now temporary i dont have posibility to convert and work on SF2 sim. Temporary.

This addon works only with my WeaponPACK.
For this Q model you should download standard weapon pack for AH-1G.
You can download it here:

New weapons specific for this model are already included in this package.
All of weapon stations are made as specific station code and will work only with Cobra WeaponPACK.
Standard commands for activating Cobra features:
AIRBRAKES - sun filter/shader on off - just for fun no airbrakes so empty animation slot for use.
ARRESTING HOOK - jump from pilot station to gunner station.
LANDING GEAR - belly light deploy/retract at any speed in late models
- nose lights activate/deactivate in early model. Lights must on.
A2A mode - gunner station guncross for turret.
A2Ground mode - pilot M73 cross.
ANIMATION 7 - turret doors
ANIMATION 8 - ammo bay dooors
ANIMATION 9 - gunner door (ext and cockpit view)
ANIMATION 10 - pilot door (ext and cockpit view)
For take off: Around 75% of throttle vector (small needle on RPM clock in cockpit should be like 65degree up) - (default ctrl + ) and then increase power to 70-85% (or more for quick lift) and pull controll stick little and snake will take off. Then reduce throttle vector as needed and reduce power to 69%. It should fly around 110kts now. 69% is about cruising speed.
When on the ground you can see rotating blades for pitch and roll. Just additional and unnecesary thing (not visible so much when flying) but it is possible so it is there. Not working like i want but better then nothing.
There are two different pylons on inboard stations one for rocketpods one for gunpods. Just to have a proper angle of fire with GP. It is not proper for real model but in my opinion best what can be done for SF engine. Rocket pods are ok with correct angle on inboard stations.
Outboard TOW pylons. You can load 4 or 8 BGM-71 Missiles. Upper M65 launcher is made as StationGroupID=3 and lowwer M65 launcher is StationGroupID=4. Either you can load only on upper launcher or both lower and upper.
Of course loading onl on lower without upper will look silly. But this is thirdwire game engine. We can't change it. Unfortunately in loadout menu option for 2 BGM-71 will appear. Well i don't know how to limit station to load only on weapon rack. Do not use it also. It doesn't look good. And missile has no launching tube.
Guns are loaded as weaponstations so player got options.

There is skin only for 11 ACR in Europe. Well Q was upgraded to S(MOD) quickly so not much info to find about Q in units.
All serial numbers are proper for Q model but am not sure if these numbers appeared in 11th ACR.
15086 for sure was there.
This pack contains already weapons folder. There you will find 2 new weapons and one weapon rack for this Q model Cobra.

As the Soviet Army invades West Germany, an entire division of Soviet Airborne troops parachute onto Iceland.
As the US Navy moves to recapture the Island (Operation Northern Sabre) the French is asked by NATO to guard the GIUK Gap against Soviet Forces.
As a Alizé pilot, you are to prevent any submarines from attacking the Clemenceau, sink enemy transports bringing reinforcements to Iceland
and work alongside your squadron to secure victory for NATO in this vital sector.

Please note:
This campaign is best played with visual and targeting aids on difficult setting. It becomes a tad too easy otherwise.
Installation:
This mod requires Strike Fighters 2 North Atlantic and Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam OR French F-8E (FN) Crusader DLC.
Install into the Strike Fighters 2 Mod Folder of your choice, usually found at
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFigthers2
While this Campaign and assets are made to work together with other minor campaigns and mods, I cannot guarantee
compatibility. Allow overwrites or use a separate folder.
For credits, please read (and actually do it too!) the file named "Credits". I could not do what I do
without all these talented people!

SF2 Israel Hi-Res 1024x768 Menu Screens

This mod includes custom Israeli Air Force (IDF) themed menu screens and pilots. No other (Hangar, Loading or Campaign) screens or INI files are changed. You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are MANY alternate screens I have in there that you might like better.
If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up your MENU, FLIGHT and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup.
To install, simply unzip and copy the Flight and Menu folder to your StrikeFighter2 Israel Mod folder.
My Win97 folder was..(yours may be different)...
