SF2 SA-7 Grail / 9K32 Strela-2 MANPADS Pack 1.5
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This pack features the famous SA-7 "Grail". It is a man-portable, shoulder-fired, low-altitude,
infrared guided surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS). It is widely exported and has
been in use in nearly every regional conflict since 1969. Despite its operational limitations,
it has been proved quite effective in the hands of tactical armies and rebel groups.
During War of Attrition on 19 August 1969 Egyptian soldiers brought down an Israeli A-4H
Skyhawk some miles west of the Suez Canal using Strela-2. According to some sources
this might have been the first successful combat use of any MANPADS in history!
Following variants are included:
9K32 Strela-2 (SA-7A, 1968) - First variant.
9K32M Strela-2M (SA-7B, 1970) - Improved variant.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New features:
- Updated missiles data which offer more realistic performance
- Fuze distances have been increased since the SA-7 had lethality limitations after hitting
a target. Now a target can be hit but it may return back home safely
- New launch effect and sound
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known issues:
- Due to game engine limitations concering missile guidance, 9M32 (SA-7A) missile's target
aspect has been set as Rear 180 despite the fact that in reality it could be fired only at the rear.
After massive failed launches it became clear that it was extremely difficult to achieve a single
hit by setting 9M32 as Rear 60 even when some other values such as FOV and track rate had
been increased.
- Helicopters have higher survival rate per hit because in some cases missiles hit the tail rotor
without causing significant damage. I guess this is another game engine characteristic.
- Low altitude (lower than 600-800m) performance is downgraded for current missile values.
By increasing noise rejection the missile becomes capable of hitting targets in lower altitude
but at the same time the single shot hit/kill probability is being increased to an unrealistic level.
- Fuze distances are longer compared with the actual lethal and damage radius of the system.
In SF2 world the real high explosive warhead quantity is big enough to destroy a fighter size
target even in 10 meters!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As always open readme.txt first to see installation instructions and credits.
Lot of research and hard work was made to make this SAM as realistic as possible.
More than 2000 launches took place!
Enjoy as much as you can this mod and leave comments with your in-game experience
in the support topic!

Turkey is one of the very first countries to receive the F-104Gs within the MAP program. As a preparation for the new aircraft the 144th Squadron was organised at the 4th AB in Mürted-Ankara. The first 15 aircraft arrived on May 10th,1963 by sea and they were deployed at the newly founded squadron in July. In July 1963 two TF-104gs arrived and they were also assigned to the same squadron. This was followed by Canadair produced 18 F-104Gs and 2 TF-104Gs. The shipment continued in 1965 with 5 more Canadair built F-104Gs. All of these planes were deployed at the 144th Squadron. In 1968 3 pcs F-104G and 1 pc TF-104G were received from USAF.
The TuAF faced with the US embargo after the Cyprus peace-keeping Operation ordered a batch of 18 F-104S from Italy. 6 of the planes were delivered within the same year and the remainder in 1975 on the basis of the planes per month. In 1975 the purchase was risen to 40 planes all which were received within 1976.
The CF-104s, F-104Gs, TF-104Gs and the RF-104Gs which were strated being replaced by more modern aircraft were despatched to Turkey. This operation included 17 pcs F-104Gs from Belgium, 43 pcs F-104Gs & 12 pcs TF-104Gs from Holland, 12 pcs RF-104G and one TF-104G from Norway and 165 pcs F-104Gs and 36 pcs TF-104Gs from Germany. Canada also promised to hand over the CF-104s after being replaced by the F-18A/Bs. In 1986 44 pcs CF-104G & 6 pcs CF-104D were received. These planes were allocated to the 181st and to the 182nd Squadrons.
Within the elapsing time the TuAF F-104Gs started aging and they were withdrawn from active duty one by one. Some were even used as spare parts for those which were still in active duty. The last ones were the CF-104s of the 182nd Squadron when replaced by F-16C/Ds in 1996.

SF2 WW2 MTO B-25C/D Mitchell Bomber Pak 8/2/2017
-- Something for the WW2 MTO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*Please note, this aircraft was supposed to be released several years ago (in August, 2014!!), and somehow managed to slip out of sight. I hope this corrects that mistake.*
**Note: This mod will -NOT- work in 1stGen game installs at any patch level. Also, for those End Users attempting to use this aircraft in an SF2 converted version of the DAT's WoA Pak, be advised of probable conflicts.**
This is a "Theatre Specific" release of Veltro2K's =NEW= B-25C/D Mitchell Medium Bomber. This represents the "glass nosed" bomber version as used in the MTO. This is the FULL aircraft, with just about all the necessary parts supplied.
There are 4 skin/decals set(s) in the package:
"Early" - with star/circle
"Late" - star-and-bar, post September, 1943.
For the following units:
81st BS, 12th BG
83rd BS, 12th BG
This mods uses the Brain32 trick, with the skinmap in the main aircraft folder. The aircraft is finished in Sand (desert pink) over neutral gray. This represents the 12th BG from it's arrival in theatre to late 1943.
All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. The aircraft carries the "plain star-in-blue-circle" used until Sept 1943. The SF2 "date switch" will turn on in September, 1943 for the 'star and bar' insignia.
Engine sounds, pilot figures, and skin-specific Hangar Screens are included. Weapons, guns, bombs, etc, are NOT; you should have them already. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole months', and ARE relatively correct for ALL in-theatre usage (7/42-12/43 although it is likely several served longer, even when the H & J models reached MTO squadron service).
When in game, you'll see
B-25C/D Mitchell (v2k)
on the Aircraft Selection Drop down menu. This will differentiate it from any other B-25s you may (or may not) have.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!
Happy Landings!!

The aircraft is in "natural metal" finish, and all markings are decals. On the individiual aircraft (plane-in-squadron) letter lising, those marked with a star (*) have their serial numbers matched to their aircraft letters. All other aircraft serials, while having served in 21 Squadron, could not be matched to their individual lettered aircraft. Decal randomization is TRUE
Also inclued are a new data ini, with adjusted hitboxes and various upgrades. The original, renamed for a back-up in included as well.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a glance

SF2 VF-51 F-4B & F-4N Phantom (Mytai) Skin/Decal Pak 7/14/2018
= For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) and/or SF2:V + DLC 23 =
*Can be used in any install that has access to the F-4B_67 which is stock in all merged installs. You =MUST= also have DLC #23, the 3rd Wire F-4N Phantom.
This package contains 3 revamped & updated skins, now for SF2, originally created by Mytai01 in 2005(ish) for SF1. These skin represent VF-51 "Screaming Eagles" deployed to Southeast Asia during Vietnam War cruises. This skins are:
F-4B_67:
VF-51 (1971) embarked aboard USS CORAL SEA (NL code)
VF-51 (1973) -same as above
F-4N (DLC #23):
VF-51 (1974) -same as above
The differences are various paint schemes, and include both CAG and line birds. All 3 skins are new builds, from Sundowner's template. The skins are in jpg format. All decals from the original Mytai pack have been reused. The dates listed are for the deployment years. The SF2 "date switch" is =NOT= used on these skins.
When on the load out screen, on the skin selection widow, you'll see:
F-4B_67:
VF-51 Screaming Eagles 71 (Mytai)
VF-51 Screaming Eagles 73 (Mytai)
F-4N:
VF-51 Screaming Eagles 74 (Mytai)
As VF-51 is a stock, listed squadron, this will help diferentiate these from 'generic' 3W skins. It also honors Mytai for his work in creating them so long ago.
Decal randomization has been set to "TRUE". Included are "newish" data inis for both aircraft. The data inis now incorporate manually operating (meaning: you, the player can now) wingfold and canopy operation. Both use the Standard Animations Keystrokes (tm), Shift/9 for wings and Shift/0 (zero) for the canopy.
Also included, within each skin folder, are all of Mytai's original research material that came with the 1stGen Package. This inlcudes photos and other text files.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....
Remember!! You must have DLC #23 to gain access to the F-4N!!
Happy Landings!

C-130 “Hercules” is one of the cornerstones of the Aviation History and it may be considered as one of the most successful cargo planes with its innovative design in which traces of “Kelly” Johnson’s works may be found.
After having contracted for 2 prototypes on July 11, 1951, Lockheed committed the first to its maiden flight on August 23, 1954. The marriage of a new and innovative cargo plane design with the great power output of turboprop engines was viewed as very promising by the military, who quickly placed a large order, assigning them to the Tactical Air Command (TAC) as quickly as they became available, starting in December 1956.
The long list of Hercules applications for the more than 1,500 built and delivered to all the military services includes; gunships, drone carrier/launch/control, missile tracking, space capsule retrieval, mapping, search and rescue, STOL research, weather reconnaisance, refueling tanker (including helicopters), assault transport, and command/communications. In addition, a stretched version was built for civilian cargo hauling.
The C-130 was originally designed as an assault transport capable of operating from unpaved, hastily prepared airstrips. It could transport up to 92 combat troops and their gear or 45,000 pounds of cargo. Where facilities were inadequate, the Hercules could deliver its cargo by parachute or by low altitude ground-cable extraction without landing.
Twenty-eight C-130s were also converted to side-firing gunships, called AC-130 “Gunship” and they were primarily used for night attacks against ground targets during the Vietnam War.

SF2 WW2 CAC Wirraway Pak by bunyap
-- Something for the Oz PTO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.*
This package contains bunyap's CAC Wirraway, modded to SF2, as seen in New Guinea 1942-43(ish). The skin represents 4 Squadron, RAAF at this early war time period. This is the complete aircraft, with all new skin and decals.
New (semi)compliant SF2 FM was cobbled together. As has become expected, the FM is NOT perfect, and needs further fine-tuning by Experts.
All skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". The original readme is included.
For our friends Down Under!!
Good Hunting!
